Carlos Del Rio-Wilson threw
two touchdown passes, Christian Mason ran for two scores and McEachern
dominated from start to finish Saturday in a 48-10 victory over
Brookwood in the Corky Kell Classic at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The victory gave McEachern a chance to showcase a talented
offense that features a four-star quarterback recruit, two four-star
wide receivers and a three-star running back.
Del Rio-Wilson, a junior who has committed to Florida, was
15-for-18 passing for 251 yards and ran for 55 yards on eight carries.
Jordon Simmons, the three-star running back, rushed for 30 yards on
seven carries and caught four passes for 57 yards. The Indians’ leading
rusher was Mason with 59 yards on eight carries. Javon Baker, a senior wide receiver committed to Alabama, had
five catches for 142 yards and a touchdown. Four-star junior Dacari
Collins had four receptions for 48 yards. In all, McEachern
finished with 478 total yards against a Brookwood team that gave up just
15 points per game last season but returned no defensive starters. “We have some weapons on the outside and some weapons in the
backfield,” said Franklin Stephens, making his debut as McEachern’s head
coach. “Carlos is like a big running back. When he’s running the
football, that’s a 200-something pound kid, along with all the other
guys we’ve got. It’s our job as coaches to figure out how to put it all
together week in and week out. If the Good Lord blesses us with health,
we’ve got a chance to be pretty good.” Stephens, who was hired from Ware County to replace longtime
Indians coach Kyle Hockman, came in with a career record of 133-26-1 and
two state championships after serving stints at Ware, Lamar County and
Tucker. Hockman, who was 103-32 with five region titles in 11 seasons at
McEachern, left to take the head coaching position at New Hampstead in
Savannah. Brookwood scored its only touchdown on its first
possession of the second half, driving 32 yards in four plays after
recovering a pooch kickoff to open the third quarter. Tyler Knight ran 5
yards for the score to cut the lead to 20-7 with 10:44 to play in the
quarter, but the Broncos never got closer. McEachern scored touchdowns
on its next three possessions and led 41-10 going into the fourth
quarter. McEachern was forced to punt on its first possession of the game
but scored on three of its next four to lead 20-0 at halftime. The
Indians drove 33 yards in four plays for their first score after an
interception set them up. Mason ran for 27 yards on three carries on the
drive, including the final two for a touchdown with 5:49 remaining in
the first quarter.
Del Rio-Wilson threw two 8-yard touchdown passes in the second quarter, one each to Gary Simpson and Baker. Brookwood
alternated its quarterbacks, junior Jack Spyke and freshman Dylan
Lonergan, throughout the game, but neither was able to get the offense
going. The Broncos were outgained 246-70 over the first two quarters and
finished with 236 total yards. Lonergan was 6-of-13 passing for
93 yards with one interception. Spyke was 4-for-8 for 103 yards. Eli
Kohl rushed for 53 yards on 19 carries. Brookwood – 0-0-10-0 – 10 McEachern – 7-13-21-7 – 48 First quarter M – Christian Mason 2 run (Billy Dominquez kick), 5:49 Second quarter M – Gary Simpson 8 pass from Carlos Del Rio-Wilson (kick failed), 11:07 M – Javon Baker 8 pass from Carlos Del Rio-Wilson (Denzell Moore), 0:24 Third quarter B – Tyler Knight 5 run (Jonah Randle kick), 10:44 M – Jordon Simmons 2 run (Kris Benson pass from Bryce Archie), 7:54 B – Jake Cartmill 28 field goal, 5:39 M – Christian Mason 9 run (run failed), 4:32 M – Sutton Smith 2 run (Denzell Moore kick), 2:51 Fourth quarter M – Caleb Brown 36 pass from Kris Benson (Denzell Moore kick), 1:10

In this video, we follow Ty and the TTAC crew during their Journey
Through ASIA as they talk to doctors and specialists from Thailand about
the role of Iodine in cancer prevention. You can watch the entire
episode here: http://bit.ly/buy-eastern-medicine. First, Ty sits down with Dr. Thomas Lodi at the LifeCo Clinic Spa in
Phuket, Thailand. He tells us how cancer cells need lots of glucose to
create energy. Dr. Lodi has found a way to use this dependency to target
cancer cells. By using insulin, he’s able to deliver a crushing blow
with pinpoint precision. Using targeted metabolic therapies like vitamin
C and Boswellia, he’s able to heal his patients. Next Dr. Lodi talks to us about the using ingredients found in nature to
reduce inflammation, which is at the root of almost all cancers. He
also talks about the importance of fasting to fight cancer and reduce
side effects of conventional treatment.
Finally, Dr. Lodi talks about iodine deficiency and the importance of
lymphatic movement. Iodine deficiency may be one of the main causes of
cancer growth and metastasis. You’ll hear from other experts like Dr.
Edward Group and Dr. David Brownstein about the importance of iodine for
healthy thyroid function and natural cancer defense. If you're looking
for a high-quality, organic iodine supplement, take a look at Dr.
Group's Detoxadine here: http://bit.ly/organic-iodine-supplement

In the summer of 2018, we traveled through Japan, Taiwan, Philippines,
Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and India. Asia is the birthplace of
natural medicine with records as old as the 3rd century BCE showing the
use of specific natural remedies. Remarkably, we still use some of them
today! Over 60 experts, medical doctors, herbalists, and cancer
survivors tell us what they did, how they did it, and what their results
were in “Eastern Medicine: Journey Through ASIA.”

The Lake Charles Police Department has released dash cam footage of a
May 2017 incident involving a former LCPD officer who pleaded guilty to
one count of deprivation of rights under color of law in federal court.
According to the offense report, at around 4:35 a.m. on May 8, 2017 the
driver was traveling on I-10 eastbound in the middle lane, when he
‘began to suddenly switch lanes from the middle lane to the outside lane
of travel Pfc. [Robert] Hammac had to quickly exit the lane of travel
and start entering the emergency shoulder of the roadway to keep from
being struck by the vehicle’. LCPD officers attempted to pull over the
driver; they exited on Fruge Street, but the driver ‘passed up several
areas of the interstate shoulder and business parking lots to bring his
vehicle to a stop’. The report goes on to say the driver ‘refused to
stop for officers’ as an LCPD officer ‘called out the traffic stop’ and
told dispatch the driver ‘was refusing to stop for officers’. The report states the driver got back on to I-10 eastbound from Beldon
St. The driver led officers on a police pursuit down to the I-10/210
interchange where the driver ‘began picking up speed, where he would
rapidly change lanes to try and get away from the officers. When the
police pursuit hit I-210, the report states the driver ‘and officers
reached speeds of approximately 114 miles per hour’. The driver exited
210 at Legion Street, where the report states ‘he struck a raised
concrete curb on the exit ramp. Due to the speed and impact, the front
driver side tire blew out’. The report goes on to say the driver
‘appeared to be losing control of his vehicle where he struck a Nissan
Armada’. The driver then re-entered I-210, leading authorities back on to I-10.
According to the offense report, Hammac was instructed to ‘when safe’,
pass the driver ‘and set up to deploy his spike strips’. The report goes
on to say Hammac ‘stopped his fully marked patrol Tahoe at Exit 36
[Creole exit], where he was able to safely deploy his spike strips’.
Officers ‘noticed the driver side rear and both passenger side tires
began losing air, slowing the vehicle down’ but the driver ‘was not
going to stop for officers’.
The report states officers attempted a pit maneuver 4 times before the
5th pit maneuver was successful. The driver’s car spun out, but the
report states the driver did not stop until ‘he went head-on with Pfc.
Hammac and struck Pfc Hammac head-on, causing a two vehicle crash’ which
ended the police pursuit. Several officers exited their vehicles,
including Hammac, and surrounded the car, attempting to pull the driver
out. In dash cam footage, Hammac can be seen entering the passenger side
of the car, pulling the driver towards him, repeatedly punching him. The report states ‘Pfc. Hammac began giving several closed fist strikes,
trying to also break the suspects grasp from the steering wheel’. The
driver was then placed under arrest. The report states the police pursuit
lasted around 9 minutes and went approximately 12 miles. Hammac pleaded
guilty August 15 to to one count of deprivation of rights under color
of law for the May 2017 incident. He faces a maximum term of 10 years
and a $250,000 fine when he is sentenced by U.S. Judge James D. Cain Jr.
on Nov. 14.
“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy” (Psalm 107:2).
Being born again delivers us
from the grip of the enemy and brings us into a whole new life. The
best way for us to remember this is to consistently declare it.

With our busy lives and the constant demands on our
time, health is something we rarely stop to think about. We may take for
granted that our bodies will always work the way they’re supposed to.
Even when we fall ill with something, we expect to eventually be healthy
again and we’re grateful for our recovery. However, those of us who
look past the doctors and medicines know who the true source of healing
is. There’s nothing wrong with consulting physicians, but as limited
human beings, there’s only so much they can do. They can promote
healing, but they aren’t the source of it; healing only comes from Jesus
Christ. There have been instances n doctors we forced to admit there
was nothing more that could be done for someone who was terminally ill.
However, things change when God gets involved in the situation. “Then
they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their
distress. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the
grave” (Psalm 107:19, 20, NIV). God’s will is found in His Word, and healing is His will for us. He
loves us and wants the best for us; sickness and health issues don’t
figure into the equation. During Jesus’ ministry, when a leper wondered
if healing was His will, Jesus’ response was swift and direct. “And
behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, ‘Lord, if You are
willing, You can make me clean.’ Then Jesus put out His hand and touched
him, saying, ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’ Immediately his leprosy was
cleansed” (Matthew 8:2, 3, NKJV). Jesus healed plenty of others, as well. “When evening had come,
they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the
spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick” (Matthew 8:16,
NKJV). None of those who were healed were perfect; the only requirement
to receive healing was faith in His ability to do so. When we’re
struggling with health issues, we may have the mistaken notion that our
past mistakes disqualify us from receiving healing from Jesus. However,
we should never minimize the power of believing that He wants us back in
perfect health. Some people think that they’re sick because God is punishing them for
something they did; that’s wrong-thinking. God isn’t mad at us or out
to “get” us. He wants to show us His mercy and compassion; restoring us
to health that’s even better than before has a way of getting our
attention. “And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick” (Matthew 14:14). Jesus healed then, and He’s still healing now. Doctors are committed to helping us get well, and God is well able to
work through them. However, our faith shouldn’t stop with their efforts
to restore our health. Jesus easily healed the woman with the issue of
blood, after doctors had unsuccessfully tried to heal her. “And,
behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years,
came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said
within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But
Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of
good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made
whole from that hour” (Matthew 9:20-22). When trusting in doctors doesn’t get the job done, faith in Jesus Christ—the Great Physician—never fails.
