Indoor Volleyball Essentials

The essentials taught here are critical to any serious volleyball athlete. This course teaches the skills and techniques I practiced daily as an NCAA All-American, an Olympian and international professional, and then taught my teams as a coach at Nebraska, as a club coach and with the Junior and Youth National Teams with USA Volleyball. The course covers wall setting, defense, footwork, serving, passing and walking progressions.

The videos are recorded inside a gym where I explain and demonstrate the basic fundamentals and proper technique to execute each skill correctly. I also show through a series of progressions how to advance from basic break down to a more practical practice drill. Throughout this course I show proper techniques and daily practice drills that you can do on your own at home, in a gym with someone else, or in a team practice. Book This Course............

StrengthCoach Latest Forum Discussions- Featuring: Sled push as a main lower body lift

Sled push as a main lower body lift
Hi guys,

I think I heard Mike say they’re starting to use the sled push as a knee dominant unilateral lift instead of just for conditioning. Counting steps instead of lengths.
I really like this idea for several reasons and want to start implementing it in my own programming.

1). What are people’s thoughts on this?
2). Does anyone have standards for this, e.g. 2.5 x bodyweight?
3). As a progression could you start timing it instead of just increasing he load?

Thanks in advance,

Cillian

RE: Sled push as a main lower body lift
Our main problem is that we got to a point where we just couldn't push the sled anymore?

I think in some ways it's a self limiting exercise.

Kids started to bring turf shoes because they couldn't get the sled to move. It ends up like a moon walk. Pushing forward but, going backward.

Athletes quickly got to 3 x's bodyweight.

This is Jack Eichel ( Buffalo Sabres) with 680. Just over 3 x's bodyweight.

Naturally Cancer is Curable But Only Naturally
By: Alan Wighton
Cancer is a wake up call; it’s your body telling you that you’ve done something wrong so your focus has to be to correct the reasons which caused it to appear. We have been brainwashed today into believing that cancer has appeared because of chance or bad luck and must be removed quickly or it will spread. That is not true. What the body needs is to address the reasons why it grew in the first place and that can only be achieved naturally.

Over the years there have been many false claims about cancer, the biggest one is that it needs to be removed quickly, regardless of the side effects of the treatment. What you won’t be told is that you need to make some changes, especially dietary ones to stop it from spreading because that’s when it becomes a killer. Just removing it by surgery, radiation or chemotherapy won’t stop it spreading to another location and that’s why so many people are dying of the disease.

Learn about cancer, especially its causes because there can never be a real cure until you remove its causes. The best doctor you have is inside your own body and it’s called the immune system. It’s a known fact that all cancers are a result of an immune system that wasn’t functioning properly and allowed cancer cells to develop so that has to be your first priority. Strengthen your immune system.

Everybody except the patient is doing well now days in the business of treating cancer and the current methods are appallingly ineffective. The reasons being they focus solely on the growths themselves and the growths are not the problem. They’re only a symptom of the problem. The definition of a symptom is an indication that something is wrong and it’s the whole body where the problem is.

Our mainstream medical professionals don’t support natural treatments because they are trained by the pharmaceutical industry. These industries are one of the most powerful and profitable businesses in the world and because there is money involved, is the reason why you won’t be told about simple ways to heal the body of cancer naturally. Do you think these industries really want someone to come along with an inexpensive natural non toxic effective cure?

For years we have been told there is no relationship between nutrition and cancer whereas today we know with certainty that what we eat or what we don’t eat causes cancer. Good wholesome food based on a plant based diet will build up the immune system whereas unwholesome food or junk food weakens the immune system. The human body has the capacity to self heal when the immune system is functioning properly.

It’s poor diets, our sedentary lifestyle and a toxic overload which has caused the problem and there is never going to be a pill to solve that. You can’t drug the body back to health and burning the body with radiation won’t help either. Both of these treatments weaken the immune system. They may shrink some of the cancer growths but long term that doesn’t solve the problem.

The way to be cancer free is to get involved and learn about it so you can make changes, especially to a plant based diet which is packed with all kinds of anti cancer substances, many of them more powerful and effective than any drug. The body’s ability to heal itself is remarkable.

Tactical Workouts Present PoliceActivity Featuring: Suspect Gets Tased By Deputy During Carjacking Attempt

** (Disclaimer: This video content [below] is intended for educational and informational purposes only) ** Volusia County sheriff's deputies interrupted a carjacking in progress Tuesday evening and took the suspect into custody after he embarked on brief crime spree in northwest Volusia County. At this hour, sheriff's detectives are interviewing the suspect, 34-year-old Anthony Gunther (DOB 1/16/1984) to determine all his charges and if he has any involvement in any other crimes. The series of events began around 4:04 p.m. in Seville, where deputies responded to an attempted car break-in at 795 Bunnell Road. The victim at that address spotted the suspect trying to break into a vehicle. The victim fired a gunshot to scare off the suspect, who fled in a red sport utility vehicle. A few minutes later, around 4:11 p.m., deputies responded to a call about another incident (a vandalism call that turned out to be a car break in progress) at the Kangaroo gas station in Seville. The suspect fled that incident in a red SUV. A few minutes after that, around 4:37 p.m., deputies responded to a call about a stolen white Jaguar at 221 N. Center Road in Pierson. The suspect description was similar to that in the initial car break call, and the suspect left behind a red SUV when he took the Jaguar. The VCSO helicopter, Air One, soon spotted the stolen Jaguar driving down a road in Pierson. Twice, deputies on the ground were successful in deploying stop sticks on the stolen vehicle as it drove through the area, but the suspect kept driving until he bailed out of the car near the intersection of County Road 3 and State Road 40. There, Gunther tried to carjack a victim in a black Ford F-150, but deputies were closing in on him. A deputy deployed a Taser on Gunther to stop the carjacking, and Gunther was taken into custody. There were no injuries reported. The red SUV used by Gunther was reported stolen out of Holly Hill earlier this afternoon. Donate to PoliceActivity: https://www.patreon.com/PoliceActivity

JANUARY 13 from cdm

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue” (2 Peter 1:3).
The finished works of Jesus have made available to us everything we need for a successful life. Our mindset must reflect this; we don’t need to beg God to do what He already did.

In Good Times and Bad

Psalm 91:14-15

God is called by many names. He is the Lord our Healer, our Provider, our Banner and our Righteousness. He also promises to be our Deliverer. In this troubled world that may very well be what we need Him to be most often.
But there are many believers who never experience God's mighty delivering power because, instead of walking closely with Him day by day, they wait until danger strikes to call upon Him. That just doesn't work. If you want God to rescue you in the bad times, you have to fellowship with Him in the good times. Why? Because God responds to faith. Our faith—not our need—is what causes Him to act on our behalf. And we'll never be able to develop that kind of faith, that kind of trust and confidence in Him, if we don't spend enough time with Him to get to know Him.
First John 3:20-22 tells us that we have confidence toward God when we do the things that are pleasing in His sight. If we only serve God halfheartedly, then we will not have confidence in Him to deliver us from trouble. When danger surrounds us, instead of being filled with faith, we'll find ourselves paralyzed with fear.
Love and serve God with your whole heart. Walk closely with Him in the good times. Then, when you need Him to be your Deliverer, you'll know without a doubt you can trust Him to care for you!
