Tactical Bodyweight Workouts Present Police Activity Featuring: Man With Butcher Knife Gets Tased and Shot by Chicago Police and Stun Gun Devices

** (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) ** The Civilian Office of Police Accountability released several video and audio clips Wednesday of a nonfatal police shooting that occurred in Bridgeport last March. Wen M. Chen, 31, was shot after officers responded to a call of a domestic disturbance in a home in the 2800 block of South Throop on around noon on March 13. Newly released body cam footage shows Chen with a butcher knife in hand as officers open the door to the room in which he’d locked himself. After the door is opened, one officer, whose Taser was drawn and pointed at Chen, tells him to drop the knife six times before deploying the Taser. Another officer on scene also deploys his Taser and Chen can be heard screaming in pain. As Chen is being shocked, the first officer to deploy his Taser tells Chen to drop the knife twice more, body cam footage shows. The officer then draws his gun and tells Chen three more times to drop the knife.

Chen, still screaming, then staggers out of the bedroom into a common area where the officers are standing. The officer who had ordered him to drop the knife fires once, striking Chen in the thigh. Blood could be seen on Chen’s neck, back and chest before the shot was fired. Chen was taken to Stroger Hospital for treatment. He was later charged with 12 counts of aggravated assault to a peace officer. The officer who shot Chen was placed on administrative leave for 30 days, per CPD policy. COPA typically releases available audio and video files of police shootings after 60 days. In this case, “The release of this video was prohibited due to a court order which has now been rescinded allowing COPA to make the relevant materials available to the public,” according to a statement from COPA. Stun Gun Devices
By: Fabiola Castillo
Stun guns are an increasingly popular self defense tool especially among women. Stun guns are not lethal like firearms and not lacerative like knives. These stun guns have the ability to put down an attacker with a simple push of a button. It is the voltage in stun guns that can put down an attacker.

What is a stun gun?

Traditionally, a stun gun is a handheld device that has a trigger and two metal prongs at the end of the unit. One must make contact with the perpetrator by placing the two metal prongs of the stun gun anywhere on his body and pulling the trigger. The stun gun is operated by a power source provided usually by a 9 V battery.

How does a stun gun work?

An electric shock will be delivered to the attacker's muscles thus causing severe muscular contractions that will produce lactic acid. Lactic acid is a byproduct produced by the muscles when a muscle is being overworked from the effects of the stun gun. Lactic acid will result when fatiguing a muscle that is exposed to repeated electric shock from a stun gun.

Furthermore, the electric shock from the stun gun will interrupt the attacker's nervous system and minimize communication from the brain to the peripheral nerves. This interruption in "nerve flow" as well as the electrifying effects of the stun gun will temporarily incapacitate a potential attacker who is out to get you.

What are other types of stun guns?

There is a law enforcement edition of a stun gun called the Taser. Most popular among law enforcement personnel is the M-18 Taser stun gun. A Taser stun gun contains two metal darts that are connected to fine, threadlike wiring. Once a Taser stun gun is fired upon a perpetrator, the two darts stick to the person's body. The handheld unit of the Taser stun gun contains the trigger that, once pulled, will send an electric shock through the wiring, through the darts, and into the person. The ultimate result will be that the perpetrator will fall to the ground in agonizing pain.

This particular stun gun is very effective in short range (up to 15 feet) confrontations without the user having to come into physical contact with the perpetrator.

Stun batons are another kind of stun gun device. Stun batons are a fan favorite among security guards. With their extended reach, one can maintain a distance between himself and the perpetrator. These stun batons have two metal strips on each side of the baton. If the perpetrator attempts to grab the baton, he will be electrified. Our stun batons come in two flavors, 300,000 V and 500,000 V, and measure 16" in length.

Telescopic Stun Baton by Stun Master. This particular item measures 13" closed, 21.5" open, and puts out a whopping 800,000 V. It also contains a personal alarm and flashlight for night time use. This item makes an excellent, concealable tool for your utility belt. Unlike the aforementioned stun baton, the Telescopic Stun Baton contains metal around the entire shaft of the baton and not just two strips of metal.

The Rock Almighty Devotional and Praise with Paul Gilbert

OCTOBER 25 from Cdm

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19).
Some people yield to the power of the enemy in the form of evil influences, but Christ has given us the authority to defeat those influences. When we believe in our God-given authority, demonic spirits that oppose us are rendered harmless.

Get Rid of the Frogs

Exodus 8:9

Have you ever wrestled with one of those problems that stubbornly refuses to go away? It seems to be immune to all solutions. You swat at the thing in every conceivable way, but instead of being eliminated, it expands and multiplies until it's wildly out of control.
An Egyptian pharaoh faced just that kind of problem, the Bible tells us, thousands of years ago. He was in a hot dispute with God over the future of the Israelites, and as a result of that dispute, he woke up one morning to find his country swarming with frogs. Slimy, smelly, hopping-all-over-the-place frogs.
It was a serious problem. I'm not talking about a frog or two in the front yard. I mean frogs were everywhere—in their beds, on their tables. Big old frogs in the ovens. Little bitty frogs in the bread dough and the drinking water. Frogs. Frogs in your hair. Frogs in places you wouldn't even want to think about!
Then God made a move. He sent His man Moses in to Pharaoh to ask, "When shall I entreat the Lord to get these frogs out of here?"
Do you know what Pharaoh said?
"Tomorrow."
Can you imagine that? He could have said, "Right now! Today!" But instead he decided he'd spend one more night among the frogs.
You say, "That's the stupidest thing I ever heard. Why in the world would he say tomorrow?" I don't know. Probably for the same reason you want to wait until tomorrow to get saved or healed or prosperous.
Here's what I want you to notice. When Moses asked Pharaoh that question and he answered, "Tomorrow," Moses said, "All right. So that you know there's a God in heaven, be it done according to your words."
Let me ask you this: How long are you willing to let that persisting problem harass you? When are you going to get rid of the frogs in your life? Do you realize they'll stay around as long as you'll let them? They'll be there until you finally make a quality decision to go with the Word of God and get them out.
Why don't you do it today?
