COMPETING: WHAT’S THE RUSH?

competing what's the rush?

In the wake of the Olympia, Victoria D’Ariano reflects on competing and explains why she doesn’t think you should be in a rush to do so:
As competing is becoming more and more popular, the demand is increasing. Everyone is eager to hit the stage and compete in his or her first show. This blog will be about competing and why you SHOULD NOT rush to the stage. Coming from personal experience, rushing to compete is my biggest regret.
I have been an athlete my entire life, with competitive swimming as my main sport. I swam from the age of 5 to the age of 20. I would train 4-5 hours a day, six days a week. When I retired from varsity level swimming, I had a lot of time and I needed something else to channel my time and energy into. As I have always been active, I found myself in the gym – a lot. I started weight training and shortly became hooked. I would read articles off Bodybuilding.com and purchase all of the Women’s fitness and health magazines to learn more. I also started following multiple fitness competitors on Instagram and soon I was introduced to the world of competing.
At first I didn’t understand competitions: the fake tan, the dolled up makeup, the suits. The whole thing seemed strange to me. Since I had trained my entire life to race against a clock, training to display something on stage was a concept I needed to get used to, and fully take in. The more I followed, the more I was intrigued. I made a couple of friends at the gym and they were both preparing for shows of their own. My competitive instincts began to grow and I decided I was going to compete, and in 14 weeks time.

Without fully understanding what goes into preparation for a show, and what it can do to your body, I looked for a coach. I did no research at all, and ended up choosing the one my friend was working with at the time. If you know me on a personal level, you know I am a bit crazy – describing myself as dedicated would be an understatement. I was given the plan, and I did exactly what I was told. I followed everything to a T and never thought twice or questioned what I was doing.
At the time I was enrolled in the Bio Medical program at Western University and was studying mainly sciences. I knew nothing about nutrition, nothing. Following the program, and a strict diet I had never followed before, I got lean, and very quickly. I fell in love with the process because I was seeing my body change and looking so different, something I had never experienced before. My show quickly approached and I ended up winning. I still remember the thrill and adrenaline rush of being on stage for the very first time. I loved it, and knew this was something I would be doing for a long time coming.

SO WHY WOULD I REGRET GETTING INTO COMPETING SO SOON WHEN I WON?

Let me point out a few things I did wrong (very wrong) prior to competing in my first competition. The first being, I knew NOTHING about what competing was and what it does to your body. The second, I knew NOTHING about nutrition and what is healthy and not healthy regarding a diet during contest prep. The third, I rushed into getting a coach, when I knew NOTHING about the person, or their credentials. But I won right? So what’s the big deal? The big deal is that this sport is about LONGEVITY, not about doing just one show and then never being able to compete again due to the severe damage you may have caused to your body by not knowing the top three points.
Let me mention these points again to make them very, very clear:
  1. I knew NOTHING about what competing was and what it does to your body.
  2. I knew NOTHING about nutrition and what is healthy and not healthy regarding a diet during contest prep.
  3. I rushed into getting a coach, when I knew NOTHING about the person, or their credentials.
If you are about to compete in your very first show and you’re missing any of those points, please take a step back. Let me get one thing across to you: competitions are always there. There is no rush to compete, especially if you are going to harm yourself while getting there. Looking amazing and winning a trophy for one day and one day only is not worth the repercussions you might be dealing with after the show when you realized you rushed things.
I rushed things. I acknowledge that now, and due to rushing it, I actually set myself back. Instead of progressing after competing, I regressed. And in order for myself to compete again, I had to take two full years off competing to allow my body to regulate again and get back to “normal.”
I am not telling you this to scare you, but to inform you. Competitions are always there, but after going into a show unprepared and uneducated, your health may not be.

Please, before you compete, EDUCATE YOURSELF not only on what goes into contest prep (the dieting, the mental aspect), but also on who you are going to work with. Do they have credentials? Do they have a good track history with their athletes? Have their athletes done more than one show, or is their body impaired due to poor dieting?
There is NEVER A RUSH in competing. Always put yourself and your health before the stage and a first place trophy. I wish I were told this before I started because I would have done a lot of things differently.
Please, before you compete, read these three points; understand them and have answers for them before you hit the stage. You might not compete as soon as you like, but you will thank yourself later for taking the time to answer these questions before competing.
REMEMBER, THE STAGE WILL ALWAYS BE THERE.

Cancer - Are we Curing it or are we just Treating it?
By: Alan Wighton

Cancer can be cured, not just treated but that doesn’t depend on the cancer, it depends on the person with the problem. Today we only have expensive conventional ways in treating the disease that subject a patient to much mutilation and suffering yet often yield survival improvements of only a few months. While drugs and surgery are effective in dealing with acute medical conditions and traumatic injury like accidents, there is no question that natural ways work better for chronic degenerative diseases such as cancer because they address and correct the actual cause or why it first grew.

Cancer has affected many families in industrialized western countries over the last few years and people everywhere are asking the same question; why is there so much now and why aren’t they curing people? As reported in the New York Times newspaper recently, deaths from cancer over the last 55 years up until 2005 and adjusted for population growth has only fallen by 5 percent.

For the last 40 years, we have been told that a breakthrough or cure for cancer is just around the corner, yet our current ways of treating it have made little change to the number of people dying of the disease. The stories we hear in our local papers and especially on the television are, we are slowly winning the war against the disease and our medical researchers will eventually find a solution to the problem. Cancer research is being carried out around the world and it will only be a matter of time before they have the answers to the problem.

The facts are, they have been telling us this for years and yet the truth is they are no closer to finding a cure than they were back in the early 70s. Don't believe the hype that the pharmaceutical industry and medical establishment are looking for new cancer cures. Sure, they are looking but only for a drug they can profit from. The medical establishment could have a much higher cure rate for cancer tomorrow if they really wanted to by incorporating genuine ways in treating the disease but our present day treatments have become big business and are a lot more profitable than curing it.

Ask yourself where we get information about cancer on both its prevention or the progress being made today and the answer is our local newspapers and the television set. Did anyone stop to think that the millions of dollars given to the media every year for advertising by pharmaceutical companies which are the most profitable industries on earth might influence what the media is saying about the cancer industry? The only stories we hear now days are all about the successes with their treatments and we are certainly not being informed about their many failures.

What they don’t want you to find out is, there is a way to cure all cancers but no one can profit from it. The cure for cancer is simply removing the reasons why it first grew and let the body heal which it will do. Correct the reasons which caused it by eating real food which is food in its natural state and also get some exercise. We certainly don’t need an expensive drug or a pill to assist us in doing that.

The entire problem with the cancer industry is they are only treating symptoms and that’s often of little help. There is no point in removing any cancer growth if it’s going to return again. What somebody needs is changes with the way many of us now live which has caused these growths to appear instead of living as we are supposed to which will not only keep us free of the problem but reverse any cancer you may be dealing with.

Of course nobody is going to get rich by telling you how to live naturally and that is by eating freshly grown food, exercise everyday, drink water instead of sugary drinks, getting a little sunshine without applying chemicals to your skin and make sure you get plenty of rest and sleep. Surgery and radiation are profitable treatments and chemotherapy is enormously profitable.

We do not need to fear cancer for we have a vast array of specialized cells within our immune system that protect us from the disease. All we need to do is to take care of these cells by living as nature intended and you do that by taking responsibility for your own health. Nutrition and other lifestyle factors are fundamental in regaining your health.

Alan Wighton is an experienced natural therapist specializing in nutrition. This article is part of the information contained in his book on genuine ways to overcome cancer using the natural healing ability of the human body.

Why Should I Study Criminal Justice Online?
By: Gavin Eastwood

Criminal justice degrees are available online through a number of institutions. These are rigorous, demanding online programs but not every program is perfect for every student. If you’ve been out of school for some time and you're used to working every day, and you're accustomed to the internet and navigating and interacting with people in a virtual environment then a criminal justice, if the subject interests you, is something you should consider. If you’ve never studied, and are worried about adjusting to a full time on-campus program, then an online degree in criminal justice is also a very good option. An online criminal justice degree from an accredited school will carry the same weight and qualify you for just as many employment opportunities as any offline degree but with a much more flexible study schedule.
What do I do with an online degree in Criminal Justice?
Most people assume that an online criminal justice degree qualifies you to be a cop. In fact a criminal justice degree is not always required to work at your county, city or municipal level. An online degree in criminal justice will help get your foot in the door and it will vastly increase your potential for job advancement. Most police departments have a more or less military-style hierarchy starting at the officer or corporal level and moving up to sergeant, lieutenant, captain, and finally the chief of police. Detectives are then employed in a parallel department and still larger departments will offer further areas of specialization like local patrols, SWAT or canine patrols and gang and narcotics enforcement areas. But advancing from any of these levels to the next one up requires a lot of work and an online criminal justice bachelors or master’s degree is a big step in the right direction.

Tactical Workouts

Depending on the size of your locality or where you want to work, local criminal justice is only the beginning. Every state in the US employs troopers who may enforce traffic laws on state or interstate highways and they are trained to respond to emergencies and to assist local departments and there are again areas of specialization like security and investigation at higher levels.

At the federal level, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Immigration and Naturalization Service, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the U.S. Customs Service all employ criminal justice graduates. Many of them are now within the US Department of Homeland Security.

Earning your online criminal justice degree introduces you to crime prevention, law enforcement and senior and junior public offenders’ rehabilitation. Students of criminal justice are often presented with an option to train as localized security specialists with a view to moving into homeland security and those who complete a degree in criminal justice can expect a wide range of career choices with local, state and federal agencies or within the legal system.
An online criminal justice study program will typically include courses such as the following:
• Criminal Procedures
• Forensic Science
• Juvenile Justice
• Criminology
• Corrections
• Security
• Community Policing
• Hate Crimes & Groups
• Sex Crimes
• Law Enforcement Reporting & Recording
• Probation and Parole
• Ethics, Law, Psychology & the Justice System
All online criminal justice programs provide students with an informed perspective on the workings and components of the justice system at the local, state and federal levels. And whether you’re ultimate goal is an entry level job or to advance a career you’ve already begun, an online degree in criminal justice now makes studying and pursuing that career more possible and more convenient than ever before.

Seek God First and He Will Add Everything Else

Matthew 6:33 tells us that when we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, He will give us everything we need. It is a matter of putting God first in our lives. Simple? Yes. Easy? Not necessarily!
Even though we want God to help us, it is sometimes difficult to consistently put Him first. It may seem easy to trust Him with your life when you’re in church on Sunday morning, but on Monday you may be tempted to take control again. Seeking God and putting Him first requires building an intimate relationship with Him that will sustain you every day of the week. God knows what we need better than we do, and He longs to provide it, but He requires that we make Him top priority in our lives.
Many years ago, when I began my relationship with God, I wasn’t really serious about it. Like many other Christians, I put in my church time on Sunday. I was even on the church board, and my husband, Dave, was an elder. The problem was, when I was at home or at work, it was hard to tell the difference between an unbeliever and me. I had accepted Christ, I was on my way to heaven, and I loved God. But I didn’t love Him with my whole heart—there were many areas of my life that I had not yet surrendered to Him. As a result, I was frustrated, and my life lacked victory and joy.
Finally, I cried out to God for help, and thankfully, He heard and answered my prayer. He began to show me that I needed to let Him out of my “Sunday Morning Box” and allow Him to be first in every area of my life. Since I did that, I am continually amazed at the ways that God provides for everything else I need.
Prayer Starter: Father, I know my relationship with You is the key to having peace, joy, fulfillment and a great life. Help me to put You first and love You with my whole heart. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Minding Your Business! Business Networking 101

By: Vanessa Fardi

We have seen the word a million times in articles, magazines, blogs, even Facebook, but it is very likely we do not have the slightest idea of what "Networking" actually means. We might relate it directly to Facebook and we definitely know it is an important tool when it comes to doing business. But, do we know its actual objective? Networking can be defined as the exchange of information or services among individuals, groups, or institutions, and it specifically refers to the cultivation of productive relationships for employment or business. Now that we finally know what it means, how do we get it done? Should we just go to parties, meetings, benefits and events, talk to people about our company or business, exchange business cards and be sociable? Yes, that is exactly what a networker does. The main idea is to make new contacts with the objective of forming mutually beneficial business relationships. That is it! Now you are an expert on the subject.
There is another aspect we have to consider, why go ahead and do business networking? Some entrepreneurs and business owners actually think business networking is a more cost-effective method of getting new clients than advertising or public relations. Business networking can be conducted in a local business community, or on a larger scale on the Internet. Social networks play a very important role for companies nowadays. Even law firms and oil companies have Facebook and Twitter in order to attract more clients and be able to get the word out there about what they do. Social networks make companies more approachable to the general public and potential future clients. That is the reason why the position of Community Manager has boomed over the last five years. If it is not on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or LinkedIn, your company literally does not exist.

To be the greatest networker known to man, just follow these simple, yet life changing, tips:

-Always be honest. No one likes a liar.

-Carry your business cards with you at all times.

-Try to meet at least five or more new people at an event.

-Be friendly.

-You will need to give to be able to receive. The business relationship works both ways.

-Go get them!

TEAM BPI TRANSFORMATION STORIES

TEAM BPI TRANSFORMATION STORIES

transformation

When we select an ambassador to be a member of Team BPI, we don’t do so lightly. Our mission as a company is to help people reach their fitness goals, and we believe that every person within our company is an extension of that. We look for team members that provide valuable information and advice to their followers so that they too can help people reach their goals.
Here are a few of the transformation stories from our ambassadors that take that mission to heart:

COREY LINDER AND MARCUS MENDOZA

Marcus spent four years in the U.S. Navy, but outside of his basic training, he never really got into fitness. When he got out and went to college, he put on some unwanted weight, reaching 210 lbs. at 26% body fat. That’s when he sought out Corey. He wanted help getting ready for a bodybuilding show, but more than that, he wanted to prove to himself that he could go from the worst shape of his life to the best shape of his life. In just over three months, Corey helped him drop to 189 lbs. at 8% body fat. At his first show, his transformation earned him 4th in Men’s Physique.

KODI HUDSON AND BRETT ZUKUNFT

Kodi has been working with Brett for about three months, helping him to prep for his first NPC Men’s Physique competition. By putting together a training routine, cardio schedule, and a strict macro breakdown, Kodi has helped Brett drop from 219 lbs. to 188 lbs. His go-to supplements are B4™Best BCAA Shredded™CLA + CarnitineOne More Rep™ and Whey HD™.

BRITTANY BURRESS AND KARA MOSLEY

Kara approached Brittany in February 2017 as a senior in college. She is getting married at the end of June and wanted to make a change. In the past year and a half, Kara has committed herself to hours upon hours in the gym and to meal prep. As a result, she has managed to lose over 70 lbs.! When she first picked out her wedding dress, it was too small. Thanks to her transformation, now it’s too big.

DIOR GRIFFIN AND ROGER

Ever since Roger was a kid, he’s wanted to be a bodybuilder. He idolized Arnold Schwarzenegger and dreamt of what it must be like to have so much strength. However, it wasn’t until he met Dior that he acted on this dream. Dior helped him with his training, providing advice and motivation along the way. Today, Roger is bigger, faster, stronger and healthier than he’s ever been, and he’s finished no less than second place in every bodybuilding competition he’s entered.

ALLISON VAETH AND HANNAH

Hannah came to Allison to help her get in shape for her wedding day. Even while juggling 12-hour RN shifts, Hannah stuck to the training and nutrition plan Allison provided. Six weeks in, Hannah is down 6 lbs. and had put on long, lean muscle.

ASAH BOND AND CHRISTINA GREFF

Christina is a 32-year-old mom of two. She is married and works 36-48 hours per week. Needless to say, she’s busy. After working for eight weeks with Asah, Christina was able to drop 8 inches and 6% body fat. She re-enlisted in the army and was able to promote two months early! Now she’s moving on to her next goal.

CAROL KUSTER AND CECILIA GONZALEZ

Cecilia is a 19-year-old college student who’s had trouble losing weight and being consistent in the gym. That is, until she met Carol and started taking her classes. There, she gained confidence about proper form and the intensity of her training. Now that she’s seen her transformation, she can’t get enough.

CHRISTOPHER SILVEY AND WALTER WINDISH

Walter struggled with his weight and self confidence most of his life. One day, he woke up and made a change. Knowing that cancer and diabetes run in his family, he decided to get his health under control. Chris helped him take his training to the next level. With his guidance and the addition of BPI supplements, Walter has continued to push himself and stay motivated.

RODRIGO RINALDI AND FLAVIO

Flavio owns a painting company, which keeps him fairly busy. For many years, he neglected his health, slacking on both training and nutrition. Rodrigo helped him get back on track and in three months, Flavio lost over 40 lbs.

TIM HOLT AND JENNIFER

In less than one year, Jennifer went from being a classically trained ballerina with no upper body muscle tone to lifting six days a week. She doubled what she could bench, squat and press, started running 5Ks and 10Ks and placed in her age group in almost every race she entered. Her waist shrunk from 29+ inches to 26 inches, her body fat dropped 5% and she went down 2 dress sizes. Best of all, she’s maintained all of the flexibility from her dancing days during her transformation.

JOJO RILEY AND RHIANNON SUAREZ

Rhiannon has been insecure about her body her entire life. At 19, she was spending all her time focused on school, continuing to neglect her health and fitness. She was tired of feeling unhappy. That’s when she found Jojo. She started going to the gym every day at 5am. She trained hard, focused on her nutrition and gave it her all. One year later, Rhiannon is happier, healthier and confident that starting to train with Jojo was the best decision she ever made.

Everyone is responsible for fighting crime, not just the police. You can put into place common sense steps like locking doors, joining in a neighborhood watch, traveling with a friend - all can help prevent crimes to seniors. Often seniors do fear crime more than other citizens, but they actually are less likely to be a victim.

The following tips help you reduce your risk of being a crime victim. These common-sense actions also empower you by building confidence in your ability to protect yourself and be independent:

Your Neighbors - Your First Line of Defense

-Work out a buddy system with a neighbor. Check on each other every day.

-Let neighbors know when you go on a trip so they can watch out for your house or apartment. Return the favor when they go away.

-Join a neighborhood watch group or help organize one.

When You Are Home:

-Lock your doors and windows! Get good locks and use them. Exterior doors-deadbolt lock. Sliding doors-special lock or broom handle in door track. Windows- good lock or pins for all accessible windows.

Tactical Workouts

-Light up your property! Make sure all porches, entrances, and yard are well-lighted. Put timers on your lights for when you come home after dark.

-Use a wide-angle peephole (installed at your height) to identify people who come to the front door.

-Get an alarm that you can put across your driveway to alert you when someone drives in.

-Ask all service and sales people for identification before you let them into your home. You can always call someone's employer for verification.

-Be sensible about keys. Don't put an address tag on your key ring, and don't hide an extra key under a doormat or flower pot.

-Hang up immediately on harassing or obscene phone calls. If the caller persists, call police and the phone company.

-For an extra measure of protection: Don't keep large amounts of cash at home.

-Use Direct Deposit for Social Security or pension checks.

-Call 911 if you need the police, fire, or paramedics.

-Mark valuable property like televisions, VCRs, cameras with an Operation Identification number.

If you suspect a burglar has broken into your home, don't go in. Go to a neighbors and call the 911.

When You Are Out:

-Stay alert and tuned into your surroundings. Don't daydream.

-Go out with a friend whenever possible.

-When you walk- look relaxed and confident.

-Trust your instincts. If something makes you feel unsafe - leave.

-Try carrying a small change purse with only the money or credit cards that you need, instead of a large handbag with straps. Keep your wallet in an inside jacket or front pants pocket.

-Don't burden yourself with packages, and don't wear shoes or clothing that restrict your movements.

-Walk on well-lighted, busy streets. Stay away from vacant lots, alleys, or construction sites.

-Avoid displaying large amounts of cash or other tempting targets, such as expensive jewelry.

-If someone grabs your purse or packages, try to keep your balance, get away, and shout for help.

-Carry pepper spray to protect yourself.

When waiting for the bus, only choose well-lighted stops.

-Don't fall asleep. Stay alert!

-Watch who gets on or off the bus with you. If you get scared or feel unsafe, go to a place where there are others or sit beside the driver.

When Driving Your Car:

-Always lock your car doors. Never leave keys in the ignition when you leave the car, even for a few minutes.

-When you drive, keep the doors locked and windows up. Park in well-lighted, busy areas.

-Always know how to get where you are going before you leave.

-Don't leave packages or other tempting articles in view in a locked car. Lock them in the trunk.

-Never, never pick up hitchhikers.

-If you have car problems, be especially wary of strangers who offer help. Stay in the car and ask them to call a service truck and the police.

-Keep your gas tank at least half full at all times.

Don't Be Fooled by Con Men:

Con artists prey on older people who worry about insurance, investments, and maintaining their homes. Regardless of how nice and polite someone may seem, be suspicious of any proposal that sounds too good to be true, has to be kept secret, or requires immediate cash. Call the Better Business Bureau or the police. Be especially wary of:

-"Get rich quick" opportunities or schemes for which you have to put up good-faith money.

-Bargains on home repairs or improvements;

-Investments that promise unusually high returns;

-Someone claiming you owe money for an item ordered by a deceased relative;

-Work-at-home schemes, door-to-door sales, telephone sales, supplemental health insurance, miracle cures, glasses and hearing aids at bargain prices from unknown sources, unfamiliar charities.

Here are some facts about security and seniors:

Compared to other age groups, people 65 and over have the lowest rates for most types of crime, with a few exceptions such as purse snatching.

Everyone fears violent crime, but those types of crimes are the least likely to happen.

Most murders and assaults are committed by relatives or friends, not by strangers.

Statistics aside, when older people are victimized-even by a minor crime- effects can be physically, emotionally, and financially devastating.

If you are the victim of a crime, help is just a phone call away. Call 911 to report all crime, no matter how minor or embarrassing. They can link you up with victim service agencies, the district attorney's office, and other agencies whose staff are there to help you.

Strategies for Happiness from the Chairman and CEO of ME and Co.
By: Dan Low

Hi, my name is Dan, and I'm the head of one of the largest conglomerates in the world. My main business is helping me feel good. My side business is helping others feel good. I get a great kickback for this ;-). As most companies need to generate profits, I generate moments of peace and happiness. In fact, « profits » are simply states of feeling good.

ME & Co. was created many years ago with little capital, a mind, and a body – and it has grown into a huge conglomerate!

Why am I sharing my strategies with you? To churn out more profits, of course ;-). You can share these strategies with others and generate even greater profits, er... I mean good feelings, for yourself!

It's simple. But let me first explain that feeling good does not necessarily mean feeling happy, although when one is happy, one is obviously feeling good. Hence, feeling good can simply mean being in a peaceful or Zen state, with no wandering, mugger-thoughts attacking us.

Years ago, I noticed that to feel good you need a vehicle. The vehicle could be an ice-cream cone on a hot summer day, a job promotion, an exotic vacation, a quiet candlelight dinner, or simply a walk in the country... There are thousands of vehicles. So I decided to invest in the companies that manufacture them by creating a holding with just a mind and a body as my main tangible assets. Of course, I also had some intangible assets, the ability to learn and appreciate, my childlike curiosity being the greatest of these intangible assets.

This was the beginning of ME & Co. On the organization chart are shown the profits that were generated from these categories: Family, Friends, Hobbies, Projects, Work and Leisure, etc. My subsidiaries are countless. Each time I walk into a restaurant in Paris, London, or Luxembourg, I'm visiting one of my subsidiaries, which is providing me a wonderful moment to feel good with the meal I'm about to appreciate.

This goes for the movies I watch in my cinemas, the pleasure I derive from work, the fun I have with my cat, and the laughter I enjoy with friends. They all furnish me with opportunities to feel good. You don't need many assets to churn out excellent profits. Here's an illustration: A couple living in a magnificent hilltop villa but on the verge of divorce is not producing the same profits generated by a woman in love – and living in a tiny studio! A millionnaire can suffer heavy psychological and emotional losses, feeling really bad instead of good. A penniless student can reap immense profits, experiencing great pleasure upon receiving his or her first diploma.

So create your organization chart with you as the head of YOU & Co. Draw up a list of your subsidiaries: Family / Friends / Hobbies / Projects / Work and Leisure.

Make a list of your tangible assets: car, home (it provides warmth, shelter, and feelings of security), computer, pets, Google, past experiences, hands and nails to relieve an itch, eyes to peep, legs to roam... List your intangible assets: confidence, patience, openness, flexibility, humor... You can always work on your intangibles by reinforcing them. If you lack patience, for example, you may want to work on this.

If one of your subsidiaries is performing poorly, don't worry about it too much, as you are reaping good feelings from the others. However, if it continues to flounder, you may decide to eliminate this subsidiary. If your job is not satisfactory, you may decide to put it in liquidation. Those who run poor companies are those who are generating losses in terms of bad feelings.

To be a top CEO of YOU & Co., establish a short list of criteria. How would you like to run this company? What kinds of activities would bring a good ROI (return on investments)? Review your tangible and intangible assets and consolidate them.

Once you've been running a successful YOU & Co., it's time to share it with others, thus generating more profits, that is... good feelings! May this year be YOUR year!
