When President Ronald Reagan got cancer during his presidency, the great German doctor Hans Nieper, M.D, treated him. It would have been front page news if it hadn’t been hushed up at the time.
Just imagine if the American public knew a sitting president preferred German cancer treatments!
I learned about it from my confidential source in Germany. In addition, Reagan’s German doctor acknowledged it in an interview.
I called the Reagan Library to see if the Library would confirm or deny that Dr. Nieper treated President Reagan in May of 1985.
A Reagan Library employee named Jenny responded to my request. She admitted that Reagan was in Germany in May of 1985, but she would neither confirm nor deny that Dr. Nieper treated him. She told me, “President Reagan’s private medical records before, during, and after his presidency are unavailable.” In July of 1985, Dr. Nieper flew to America to attend to Reagan in his hospital recovery room, according to my source.
Many American cancer patients lose their hair and their vitality. But Reagan kept his famous pompadour hairstyle. He also kept his warm smile and vigorous stride.
And after whipping his cancer the German way...
Reagan lived for another 19 years
He died at age 93, and not from cancer.
No wonder so many other celebrities and even European royalty have gone to Germany to get rid of their cancer. I’ll name some of these famous people in a moment.
But first let me briefly introduce myself. I’m Andrew Scholberg, a healthcare consumer advocate and a medical journalist. I’m not a doctor. You’d think that a fever of 105 to 107 degrees Fahrenheit would be bad for cancer patients, right? Wrong!
Surprisingly, cancer can’t take the heat. But your body’s healthy cells can handle a temporary fever just fine. Fever is one of the tools your immune system uses to kill disease.
Ironically, it was a German-American doctor in Philadelphia, Peter Busch, M.D., who discovered that fever can cure cancer. He found out by pure chance in 1868, 140 years ago!

Why? Because cancer cells too small to detect can be anywhere in the body. Cancer is systemic — there are cancer cells throughout a patient’s body — but the fever therapy kills them wherever they are.
That’s one of the reasons German cancer doctors I interviewed are so successful.
They employ a state-of-the-art therapy that’s more advanced than anything you’ll find in America. It heals the whole body instead of just tinkering with the obvious signs of this system-wide disease.

Using this unique, cutting edge technology, German doctors concentrate heat in the area around the tumor. For example, the doctor places a special device directly over the breast of a breast cancer patient to heat up that specific area. The patient doesn’t get a temporary whole-body fever with this kind of heat therapy.
German doctors use radio frequencies (shortwaves), which cause heat to penetrate deep into the body — 18 centimeters, about 7 inches.

As I saw for myself, the results are amazingly effective. And that’s one reason why cancer patients from all over the world come to Germany.
In some countries, clinics use microwaves to heat up the tumor. But microwaves only penetrate the body about five centimeters — about two inches. This is far less effective than the deeper penetrating radio frequencies that German doctors use.
German-style deep-penetration heat therapy is not available anywhere in the United States. Heat therapy doesn’t fit with the American medical establishment’s model of “cut-burn-poison” for cancer treatment.
Royalty, movie stars, and other
celebrities know the German secret
One of Germany’s most legendary cancer doctors was Hans Nieper, M.D. I’m sure you’ve heard of some of the people who came to him to get rid of their cancer: Princess Caroline of Monaco and President Ronald Reagan, to name just two.
Dr. Nieper cured Princess Caroline of breast cancer, and she remains in glowing health to this day.
Other celebrities, such as actors William Holden and Anthony Quinn, have gone to Dr. Nieper’s clinic for cancer. And comedian Red Buttons brought his wife there. It’s a remarkable story. I’ll tell you the details in a moment.
I already mentioned President Ronald Reagan’s May 1985 trip to Germany for cancer treatment. Reagan chose Germany because of Dr. Nieper’s reputation as the No. 1 cancer doctor in the world.
By the way, something really odd happened around the time of Reagan’s trip to Dr. Nieper’s cancer clinic. The National Cancer Institute, part of the American cancer establishment, had published a pamphlet purporting to warn the public about how to recognize a cancer “quack.” One of the red flags for identifying a “quack” was: “Beware of any doctor who links cancer to diet.”
But President Reagan had to change his diet after his treatment in Germany for cancer. Dr. Nieper told him it was necessary. And that’s when America’s cancer establishment withdrew the ridiculous claim that cancer has nothing to do with diet! I suspect President Reagan’s experience had something to do with their change of mind.
Sadly, Dr. Nieper died in 1998, and his clinic no longer exists. But his priceless health secrets didn’t die with him. The six German clinics I toured are using the cancer breakthrough he helped pioneer and perfect.
The movie star’s wife who said “no” to mutilating surgery
Don’t believe some cancer doctor who predicts, “With luck, you might live a year.” Those are the exact words a cancer doctor told Alicia Buttons, the wife of comedian and actor Red Buttons. You’ve probably seen him in classic movies such as “The Poseidon Adventure,” “Alice in Wonderland,” and “The Longest Day.”
Red’s wife had an advanced case of one of the most dreaded cancers: oral pharyngeal cancer. In 1975 she said “no” to surgery that would have disfigured her face — and went to Germany instead.

FDA officials sneak off to Germany
for the treatments they deny you
Back in 1987, Dr. Nieper let a man named Jeff Harsh interview him for a video documentary. After commenting that “President Reagan is a very nice man,” Dr. Nieper declared:
“You wouldn’t believe how many FDA officials or relatives or acquaintances of FDA officials come to see me as patients in Hanover. You wouldn’t believe this — or directors of the American Medical Association (AMA), or American Cancer Society (ACS), or the presidents of orthodox cancer institutes. That’s the fact.”

FDA officials and their colleagues want you to submit to disfiguring surgery, poisonous chemo, and burning radiation when you get cancer. But when they get cancer — well, that’s different! They go to Germany to get rid of their cancer. For themselves, they prefer treatments that are more effective and don’t have any side effects.
America’s cancer system is a broken down mess

“Is your life worth a Honda?”
At one of the clinics in the Bavarian Alps I interviewed Franko, a retired pianist from Key West. As we gazed out the window on a gorgeous view of the Alps, he told me he had stage-four prostate cancer that had spread to his bones. Stage four is generally hopeless.
Without health insurance, Franko couldn’t afford the standard American treatments. But he scraped together the money for his treatment in Germany. And as far as he was concerned, it was a bargain.
As he put it, “Is your life worth a Honda?”

The doctor who told me this story refused the bribe. And the drug salesman was stunned. He couldn’t believe the doctor turned down that kind of money. “You’re from a different planet,” the salesman marveled. “Every hospital works together with us.”

What a horrible irony that Penn State’s alma mater includes the words, “May no act of ours bring shame.” For more than 15 years, coaching assistant Jerry Sandusky disgraced the school by sexually abusing boys placed in his care. The resulting embarrassment enveloped once-beloved head coach Joe Paterno, the Penn State football program, the NCAA, and every fan of college football in America. “JoePa” did not live to see his statue removed from its place near Beaver Stadium and forklifted into storage, or his record vacated of more than 100 wins, knocking him from atop the list of winningest college football coaches ever. For the NCAA, having such a man in the record books was clearly too humiliating.
Whether college athletes should be paid for their services is a debate worth having. Nevertheless, as the rule stands (and as it stood in the early 2000s), accepting nearly $290,000 in cash and gifts is $290,000 more than players are allowed to accept. USC star running back Reggie Bush was certainly not the first to take people’s offers of limo rides and free housing, but he was the first to go on to win the Heisman Trophy. In a huge black eye for USC and the Heisman Trust, Bush opted to relinquish the award before it was snatched out of his soiled hands, the first time the award has been returned.
In the wake of Penn State’s devastating NCAA punishment, many are reminded of another name in the annals of college sports embarrassments: Southern Methodist University. Although Penn State will retain a crippled football program, SMU’s entire 1987 and 1988 seasons were canceled when it was discovered players had been paid thousands of dollars out of a slush fund with the full knowledge of people like former Texas governor and chairman of SMU’s board of governors Bill Clements and AD Bob Hitch. Ironically, Penn State was among the schools who raided SMU’s football roster for players. As a result of the death penalty, SMU’s program took two decades to recover, Clements’ political career was killed, and the Southwest Conference had one of the final nails put in its coffin.
Players accepting money for playing their best is one thing; players taking money for making errors and helping bookies beat the spread is a whole other can of worms. In 1951, a cloud was cast over NCAA basketball when a point-shaving scandal involving seven schools and 32 players came to light. What began with the arrest of three of the stars of City College New York’s NIT-winning 1950 team for conspiring with gangsters to fix games soon spread to NYU, Long Island University, the University of Kentucky, and elsewhere. The scandal remains one of the worst black eyes in college basketball history.
Jim “The Sweater Vest” Tressel was so ensconced as head football coach at Ohio State that when asked if Tressel was going to be fired, OSU president Gordon Gee responded, “No, are you kidding? I’m just hoping the coach doesn’t dismiss me.” Clearly Tressel’s 106-22 record with OSU had brought him significant power, power enough that, when informed his players were selling memorabilia to a known drug dealer in exchange for tattoos, he sat on the knowledge for eight months in 2011. Then he lied to investigators about how long he knew the truth. A red-faced OSU tried to keep Tressel’s chastening to a five-game suspension and $250,000 fine, but ultimately bowed to public pressure and asked for his resignation.
The thought process while watching the clip of this embarrassing moment in college basketball history goes something like this: ‘OK, that was a pretty hard foul. Oh, nice, that player is going to help him up OH, NOT THE GROIN!’ Angered at an impending loss to their Big Ten rivals, Minnesota initiated a street fight by punching and kneeing Ohio State player Luke Witte and then stomping his head while he was on the floor. The crowd even booed him as he was helped off the court on his way to the hospital. The governor of Ohio called it a “public mugging.” Two Minnesota players were suspended for the season, and dunking before games — showboating that the NCAA believed attributed to the hostile environment — was banned.
To call this Miami football’s all-time low is saying a lot, considering their history. But on the night of Oct. 14, 2006, the country watched in disgust as Hurricane players goaded Florida International’s Golden Panthers into a fight with taunting and showing off. FIU took the bait. A Golden Panther tackled a holder and punched him, and all hell broke loose. Miami players took their helmets off and used them as weapons. An injured FIU player swung a crutch at some Hurricanes. A ‘Cane body-slammed a Panther. Players were stomped and kicked in the head. State troopers had to help separate the teams. More than 30 players were later suspended. Even a TV commentator, former Hurricane Lamar Thomas, was fired for the embarrassing in-game comments, “You come into our house, you should get your behind kicked.”
Minnesota basketball managed to go almost 30 years after the 1972 brawl before falling on their faces in front of the country all over again. On the morning of the team’s first-round game in the 1999 NCAA tournament, news broke of a former academic advisor claiming to have written 400 papers for Gopher basketball players over a period of five years, with head coach Clem Haskins’ total knowledge. Haskins later admitted paying the woman to do so and was subsequently fired and banned from coaching college basketball until 2007. Some supporters wished he would have fought harder to clear his name, but he correctly decided that would have only dragged the school’s name further through the mud than it had already traveled.
When Nevin Shapiro was imprisoned in 2010 for participating in a nearly $1 billion Ponzi scheme, more than a few people in the college sports world must have started to worry. Such worry is warranted. Eight players on the Miami Hurricanes football team have already been suspended for accepting gifts from this persona non grata, but according to Shapiro, dozens more players are involved. He says from 2002 to 2010 he hooked up at least 72 college players with money, prostitutes, yacht and limo rides, tackle bounties (which are currently roiling the NFL), jewelry, and travel. Shapiro is peeved at his predicament and has vowed he will take Miami football down with him.
Three, six, and 15. These are the numbers of Rick Pitino’s most notable achievements: three schools led to the Final Four, six NCAA Tournament regional championships, and 15 seconds of sex with extortionist Karen Cunagin Sypher. In one of Louisville basketball’s most embarrassing moments, and certainly the most embarrassing moment of Pitino’s storied career, the coach had an extremely brief sexual encounter with the wife of his equipment manager in a restaurant booth in 2003.
