Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace” (Galatians 5:4).
The law is all about
self-effort and performance. When we depend on ourselves instead of
Jesus for what we need, we cancel out the effect He can have on our
lives.
