“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:7).
To redeem is to regain
possession of something in exchange for payment. Jesus paid the price to
redeem us back from the spiritual death that resulted when Adam sinned
in the garden of Eden.
