“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye” (Colossians 3:13).
Under the law, man had to
forgive others, first, before God could forgive him. Under grace, we’ve
already been forgiven; this enables us to forgive others.
