Lansing City in Michigan --- The Lansing Police Internal Affairs unit released officers body camera as it is investigating an incident Friday in which an officer punched a runaway 16-year-old girl who officers said was resisting arrest.

 The video include the press briefing of Lansing Police Chief Mike Yankowski on Friday, June 14, 2019 about the incident.

 Lansing Police Department statement: "As a follow up to the information shared during the press conference on Friday, June 14th, the Lansing Police Department has had the opportunity to review body worn camera video, as well as obtain additional facts regarding the case.

 On Saturday, June 15th, Lansing Police Chief Mike Yankowski placed both officers involved in the arrest of a 16 year old juvenile on June 14th, on administrative leave while an Internal Affairs investigation is conducted.

 Staying true to the department’s commitment to transparency and police legitimacy, Chief Yankowski is releasing the body worn camera video of the entire police interaction. Please note that the redaction in the video is done to protect and safeguard the identity and rights of the juveniles involved in this incident."
