“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time” (1 Peter 5:6).
Being humble doesn’t mean being a doormat for others to walk on; it means agreeing with God’s Word concerning us. We don’t have to work hard to make ourselves look good before others, because God, Himself, exalts us when we trust in Him.
