Elyn Jacobs is a member of our Truth About Cancer team and her breast cancer survivor story began in 2007, at 45 she was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer.
Having seen her mother pass away using conventional methods, chemotherapy and radiation, she decided that that would not be her fate. Afterall, she had 2 young boys to raise and wanted to see them grow into men.
She went to her appointed oncologist and explained to her how she wanted to cure her breast cancer naturally. To her surprise, the oncologist was on board with Elyn but explained that while doctors are in medical school, they aren’t taught anything about nutrition or natural ways of dealing with disease and told her to search for a holistic doctor.
That’s when she found Dr. Mitch Gaynor. Dr. Gaynor helped her with her nutritional supplements and gave some meditation tapes but he also brought something else to light. He explained to her that something else may have actually caused her cancer and it was probably an emotional trauma that had happened to her before she was 5 years old.
Over the years, Dr. Gaynor continued to follow her progress then in May of 2014, an energy healer told her that her cancer was back. She then had a biopsy and not only did her cancer come back, she now had stage 3 breast cancer.
Knowing she was going to heal her stage 3 breast cancer naturally, she began using many different alternative cancer treatments and by 2015, the cancer was gone.
