'Skinny-Fat' Athletes and Warriors is a term born out of the late 90's that describes those unfortunate folks who shunned lifting weights thinking that it would make them too bulky and instead went on insane diets and did lots of boring cardio.
This usually results in this not-so-rare condition where you lose muscle and achieve a sick looking flabby physique where it appears that your flesh is about to fall off of your bones. I had 4 kids in less than two years ( a singleton & a set of triplets) so my body had definitely changed. I was busy being a mom & became complacent and thought I guess I could look worse after having four kids. I would avoid mirrors & was very critical of myself. I had a horrible self image. When I saw my 3 year old looking in the mirror and making faces while pulling at her tummy I knew it was time to make a change and stop making excuses of how I didn’t have time.
