The StrengthCast PowerShow 5 Simple Weight Loss Rules and Do you really want to lose weight now?

Do you really want to lose weight now?

  • Author Anselm Anyoha
It seems that everybody wants to lose weight unless they are as lean as a chalkboard.
Hopefully, my weight loss story will inspire you to achieve your own weight loss goal.

For readers who do not know, I am a physician—a pediatrician, precisely. I’ll just point out the obvious: even physicians can get themselves into medical troubles. So, on a visit to my own doctor 10 years ago, I was diagnosed with hypertension because my blood pressure was elevated at 140/90. My doctor wanted to prescribe drugs for my condition, but I quietly disagreed. I had a plan of my own.

At that point, I weighed 183 pounds. For a man who stands at 5’ 8”, that gave me a BMI of 27 and put me in the overweight category. I went to work because truly, challenges are the mother of actions. I did some research and found with every 1 pound of weight loss, the upper number in a blood pressure reading could go down by 1 point. A ten-pound weight loss could lower an upper number by 10 points. “Let us do it,” I said to myself.

So, within 6 months, I lost thirty pounds. And as a result, my blood pressure was as normal as a teenage boy. My looks changed, too. My cheeks went from puffy to sculpted. My friends and family were both excited and worried. I assured them I was okay, and that I did it for my health.

I want my readers to know that I made easy lifestyle changes that did not demand much of my time. For example, instead of frying my eggs, I boiled them. Instead of eating out, I made my own food. Plus, I swapped beer and soda for water and more water. I used the holidays as another occasion to eat healthily and passed on junk food. I traded salt for herbs to season my food. And these little everyday changes made a big overall impact on my weight and my blood pressure.

We all have our different stories, our different life journeys, but I believe lessons can be learned from my experience. I was so happy about my accomplishment that I wrote a book about it, and I encourage you to pick it up. People spend thousands of dollars enrolling in gyms they will never attend and exercise equipment they will never use. But $10 ($3.99 on Amazon)  spent on my book could be one of the wisest investments you’ve ever made. Why this book you may ask? Because it is easy to read, full of good advice, and written by someone who actually lost thirty pounds.

Disclaimer: Please consult your doctor if you suffer from high blood pressure. High blood pressure has many reasons, and losing weight may not cure your own hypertension.

Tactical PE The LAPD Have A Tough Job and How To Choose a Safe and Secure Neighborhood?

How To Choose a Safe and Secure Neighborhood?

  • Author Michael Harris
For many people, finding a new place to move is an exciting thing. It brings happiness to think about a new house, new interior, new furniture, new room, and all, right? But practically, it is not as easy as it seems to be.

Finding the right home for you and your family is a responsibility. You need to consider many things in mind. For instance, security of your new home and family, safety of your neighborhood and surroundings etc., are the major concerns. A safe neighborhood ensures protection of your generations as you plant your roots there. Your kids would grow up there and your family would be a part of that community. Therefore, be careful while you select a neighborhood. (Continued below.....)
In this learn-by-doing course, I'm going to help you prepare your mind and muscle for the unexpected.

Use these teachings to reduce injury and re-build your body.

I've also included lifetime access to my "Vault" of exercise video demonstrations, Interrogation Interviews, and much more. Go to http://bit.ly/TacticalWorkout and enter your email address to start for free!

(Continued.....)Here are some tools that can help you choose a safe and secure neighborhood:

Check Crime Data of Your City

City data is a website that helps you to gain complete information about your area, neighborhood and adjacent places. You can analyze crime situation of your neighborhood using the internet. Review your city or any other city’s crime data carefully before making a leap.

Check Overall Picture of the City

There are many sources to find out the overall picture of your city. This includes every important aspect for instance, education, livability, and cost of living etc. Assess the overall rating of your neighborhood pragmatically using different websites like Area Vibes. Besides, talk about it with locals around you as well.

Use Your Smartphone

Life has become easier with smartphone technology. Now you don’t have to turn on the laptop for your research. Your smartphone apps can offer you data that you are looking for. There are many apps that offer local statistics about crime and your city situation. For instance, ‘Crime and Place’ app is famous for providing GPS tracking, safety notifications and heat map etc. Check it out for sure!

Go for Home Security Systems

Once you are done with your research and have planned to move to your new home. Find out a wireless home security system and order the most suitable package plan for yourself. Arm your alarm system before you move in, so that you can minimize your risks. Authorities suggest that you are three times safer at home if you have an active alarm system working.

Lit Up Your New Home

After shifting to your new neighborhood, take a walk around the place and make note of the things that should be improved. One of these things can be your outdoor lighting conditions. Make sure your new home is well lit with smart bulbs, so that criminals around your area could be deterred. In a study conducted by students of forensic psychology, criminals and bad guys repel from brighter places. Brightness increases their fear of being caught. So, take advantage of this fear and improve your outdoor lights so that criminals could stay away.

Think about Outdoor Cameras

Even if you live in a highly secure place, risks of violent crimes could never be eradicated completely. Police therefore recommends new homeowners, particularly to use home surveillance systems to rid from such crimes.

I love acknowledging about home security alarm systems, home entry products, surveillance cameras and security products for the sake of better good to as many people as I can. Blogs and articles that I have written serve the #1 goal: Help to protect by literally spreading the word.

The Rock Almighty Devotional, Praise, and Worship with Precious Death and THE THANKFUL CHRISTIAN

 THE THANKFUL CHRISTIAN from CDM

Growing up, most of us have heard the phrase, “Count your blessings.” We may not have paid much attention to it, but this is actually great advice for a successful life.

Most people take for granted all the good things that happen in their lives; however, nothing just shows up by accident. God has a master plan for each of us, and it’s overwhelmingly good. (Continued below......)

(....Continued.......)Pausing for a moment to make a list of all the good things we have goes a long way in shaping a good attitude. It’s hard to be sour when we think about the things God has done for us, even when we didn’t deserve them. Every good and perfect gift is from above and comes from the Father of lights, with whom there is no shadow of turning. God always gives us good things, never anything bad; the more we meditate on this, the more grateful we become.

Even when trouble hits, God’s will is for us to give thanks in everything. A positive attitude gives us great power. We’ve been given the freedom to make our own choices; choosing to give thanks to God puts us in authority over any bad situation that arises.

God directs His undeserved, unearned favor toward us because He loves us dearly, no matter what we do. When life feels like a struggle and we feel discouraged, accepting this gift lifts our spirits and gives us a reason to be thankful. We’re spiritual beings living in physical bodies; letting the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with our spirits puts everything in a whole new light.

In this spiritually noisy and distracting world, it’s easy to forget what’s really important. Our souls are where we make our decisions; telling our souls to bless the Lord and not to forget any of His benefits keeps us in remembrance of what He has already done, and what He continues to do for us. This keeps us thankful.

Prayer:

Lord, You continually give us countless blessings because You love us. Meditating on what You teach us concerning thankfulness reminds us of the power we have by choosing grateful attitudes. Thank You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Jeremiah 29:11, NLT

James 1:17

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Philippians 4:23, NIV

Philemon 1:25

Psalm 103:2

Spiritual Warfare Prayers and They Don't Want You To See This! This Will Change Everything You Know - The Spirit Realm

 -Author D. Vincent Bud Ford

Spiritual warfare prayers are more important now than they ever were before. What do you think of when you hear the phrase "spiritual warfare"? If you have images of the latest supernatural Hollywood blockbuster on the brain, you might want to reconsider. Unfortunately, it seems that the subject of spiritual warfare has two main camps, those who do not believe in it at all and those who see demonic activity in every aspect of life. Both of these camps are reluctant to talk about the subject albeit for vastly different reasons.

Biblical Concept

The truth is if you are going to believe in God, the Bible is your guidance system. It is this authority you should turn to for more information on the subject. The Bible clearly states that Satan and demonic activity are a reality. It is not presented in some spooky, hocus pocus sense but matter of factly. The truth is, if you are going to take any part of the Bible as fact, then you must accept the entire writing, which includes the presence of demons, Satan, possession and spiritual warfare.

Do Not Fear

In the Bible the phrase "do not fear" is repeated several times, even when it comes to the activities of dark spirits. Jesus has overcome the power of darkness and indeed the entire world; so as a Christian, there is little to worry about. The problem is, many Christians do not understand their place, especially as it relates to spiritual warfare.

Jesus came to the world to save it, and upon his death He took the keys of death, hell and the grave. He ascended to Heaven where he is seated at the right hand of God; as believers, we are united with Him, far above demonic activity.

Prayer

Spiritual warfare will not be fought with weapons made of human hands. Instead, it will be waged in prayer by believers and with the believers on their knees. Christians do not fight against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places, Ephesians 6:12. When the disciples asked Jesus how they were to pray, the answer He gave was The Lord's Prayer, which is key when it comes to spiritual warfare.

One thing you should know about prayer in general and not just as it pertains to spiritual warfare; it needs to be fervent and continuous in nature. Take the example of Christ in the garden just before he was to be taken and crucified. Jesus prayed until his sweat was as droplets of blood! This would be the very definition of fervent and intense prayer.

Conclusion

Spiritual warfare is not a new age concept. It was dealt with in the biblical text at some length. Jesus dealt with the man who was demon possessed from the area of Gadarenes. Even his disciples talked about those demons they could not cast out and He replied to them that some would not be moved accept through prayer and fasting! Dealing with Satan and his horde is not fairy tale fodder; it is a fact of the world you live in.

There is Practical Spiritual Warfare which all of us deal with each and every day; it shows up in the simple, everyday happenings of life. The important thing to remember is not to overplay or underplay its significance in your life of as a Christian and to fervently pray. Satan and his demons must flee at the name of Jesus Christ.

The StrenCast PowerShow. Let's Dive Into A Little Yoga and Swolverine Shall We? And How to Select Good Yoga Training

How to Select Good Yoga Training

  • Author Michele Hauswirth
There are numerous yoga schools in the world that provide good training. Selecting an appropriate yoga program is a daunting task. Things that you should consider before registering for a yoga class are not just location but also a quality yoga education.
Also, it is difficult to choose any one yoga style that satisfies all your requirements. Meditation and Pranayama techniques are also part of yoga sessions. (Continued below.....)

(....Continued....)Every yoga class aims to balance physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. The ancient practice of yoga is still an effective method to heal many disorders and restore energy. This is the reason many successful people add yoga in their daily routine. Selecting the best yoga training program should always be aligned with your objectives.

Here are some best tips to select a good yoga training program:

Yoga style that suits your lifestyle

Yoga has many benefits and is easy to adapt according to every person’s health condition. This is the reason people of all age groups want to learn yoga. Everyone has different health goals. An injured sports player might want to practice Restorative Yoga. Whereas Ashtanga Yoga is more power-packed. The two yoga styles are opposite in their approach. Chair Yoga is more suitable for a working professional to relieve stiff neck and shoulders with some light stretches of spine and legs. A pregnant woman may want to practice Prenatal Yoga which is beneficial for the mother as well as the baby. There are yoga styles for flexibility as well as specialized teacher training courses. Some people also want training in yoga to lose weight. Find out which yoga style is easier to incorporate and adjustable in your daily lifestyle.

Location of the yoga school

It may seem trivial, but the actual location of yoga school impacts our continued interest and focus on our health goals. Some corporate offices and even schools have started adding a yoga session after or before official hours for maintaining fitness. These sessions are easy to attend because they are inside the official premises. People who are always busy should select the location either near their office or home or somewhere inspiring.

With technology, it has become even more convenient to attend a virtual yoga class from home. The online sessions are well-prepared in advance and all the instructions are provided for the student to follow properly. E-courses for yoga are the best way to continue as a hobby or as a back-up training for future endeavors.

A certified yoga school

The quality of yoga education is very important for physical and mental growth. Whether for serious training or meditation, your health goals should be the top priority when selecting a yoga school. A student should check the certifications and awards conferred to the school. The number of years that the yoga school has been established and the review of students matters a lot to make an informed decision. It is important to know that the school has recognition from premium institutions especially from the International Yoga Alliance (USA). Your yoga training and achieving your goals depends largely on how well each yoga session is designed.

Experienced and qualified yoga teachers

The first interaction of a student about yoga is with the yoga teacher. A guide and a mentor who helps you become comfortable with yoga asana and bring new insight into yoga training. An experienced yoga teacher always inspires students to understand the philosophy of yoga. The awareness of the body and mind should be done in a precise way. A qualified yoga teacher knows how to involve every student in a yoga class. A good yoga teacher will know how to modify a yoga asana according to the requirement of the student.

Duration and number of students

The number of hours for yoga practice is specified for students who want to join teacher training courses. There are 50 hours, 100 hours, 200 hours, and even 500 hours. It depends on the learning process and experience that the students want to achieve. A renowned yoga school will have all the above options and expert teachers to train accordingly. The syllabus will be vast with practical as well as the detailed theoretical studies. The number of students is always limited to these yoga courses for providing individualized attention.

Whether professional training or not, yoga training requires a dedicated time to improve concentration. Yoga is a self-practice even in a class. The teacher can only give instruction but to apply the stillness of mind is completely personal. For deep relaxation, even while practicing at home, removing distractions is important. In a crowded class of 25 to 30 students, yoga practice may not prove to be that focused.

Conclusion

Yoga is a great health practice that has many positive influences. A good yoga training develops awareness, calms the mind, channelizes energy, and promotes overall healing. It helps an individual to become a strong person physically as well as mentally. Whatever your health goals, yoga is a wonderful learning experience that should be embraced by everyone.

Michele introduce to yoga well teaching, deep practice and meditation at Arhanta Yoga Ashrams. A qualified yoga teacher knows how to involve every student in a yoga class. A good yoga training develops awareness, calms the mind, channelizes energy, and promotes overall healing to join yoga teacher training courses.

10 Natural Flu Remedies from a Doctor's Wife and Dr. Sherri Tenpenny On The Vaccinations

10 Natural Flu Remedies from a Doctor's Wife

  • Author Jenni Wilson
Flu is no fun! No likes to be down with flu or up at night with kids who have it. First off, don't fear.

There are many effective home flu remedies you can keep on hand that will drastically lessen the severity and length of flu. They can even help with prevention! (Continued below.....)

(...Continued.....)1- Get Elderberry. It cuts flu recovery time from 6 days to 2. Health food stores have it in many varieties since a flu study came out a few years ago. I double the dose of most products for my own family if I suspect flu. I recommend Dr. Christopher's Elderberry Extract and use 1-2 dropperfuls every hour in a drink. Elderberry prevents the virus from getting into healthy cells.

2- Get a high quality essential oil. I rub it on the bottom of my children's feet. Essential oils are potently anti-viral. Oregano is the strongest infection fighter, but it's also the hottest. So dilute a few drops in some olive oil or other carrier oil (even vegetable oil will work). Doterra has a quality immune blend called On Guard. It smells amazing and it works. I give 2 drops with honey in some herbal tea for a painful, sore throat. I rub another blend called Breathe (diluted), on the neck and chest for congestion.

3- Push fluids. Give your child lots to drink: water, or fruit juices as long as they don't contain white sugar or corn syrup (these feed bacteria and suppress immunity). Peppermint tea is a "kid cure-all" at my house. I put this tea in bottles, sippy cups, or a glass with a straw. Kids need to stay hydrated, and peppermint has long been used for fevers, flu and calming tummy trouble.

4- Include echinacea. I make echinacea tea, add the mild tasting glycerin extract to other fluids, or squirt it straight in my child's mouth. Echinacea fights infection indirectly, by stimulating the body's own immune system to ramp up the fight. I use glycerite from Dr. Christopher.

5- Get Dr. Christopher's Antispasmodic formula. I rub this liquid on my kids' throats, and it immediately relaxes the muscles and stops dry coughs which sometimes accompany flu. This herbal preparation has rescued me from late-night discomfort, sleeplessness and even agony many times. It's effective.

6- Give a ginger bath. Baths help keep kids hydrated, help with fevers, and relax achy muscles. Put 1 Tablespoon ginger in the bath, or in a muslin tea bag in the bath. Run the water hot at first to infuse the ginger into the water, then adjust to the highest comfortable temperature for your child. Working up a sweat in a hot tub helps sweat out infection.

7- Get some Vitamin D3. I'd take 2,000-4,000 IU a day unless a true epidemic hit. Then I'd triple the dose. Vitamin D quiets the immune system's response to invading viruses in the respiratory tract. It can prevent the overproduction of inflammatory substances that can lead to fluid buildup and more severe symptoms. This may just be the most dangerous part of more severe flu strains like the swine flu. I use the RX brand. It's a bit pricey, but for me it's worth it (for this brand the dose is only 1 drop).

8- Make garlic toast. We know garlic fights infection. For kids, press a clove of garlic into some butter or olive oil, spread it on whole wheat bread, and toast it in an oven or toaster oven. Have your child eat some as is or with some honey added. Raw honey has natural infection fighting compounds. Four cloves of garlic are equal to an adult dose of penicillin.

9-If all comforts fail, try Motrin. For the temporary headaches, body aches and discomfort caused by the flu, ibuprofin is an easily attainable, fast acting remedy for kids. I save over-the-counter remedies for temporary, extreme conditions, and when symptoms are the worst, I'll use it.

10-Read up on flu drugs and vaccines before you try them. Did you know you can get flu from the vaccine? They are poorly tested, and have not been proven safe. Also, there are many reports of side effects of the drugs, especially in children.

Dr. Kent Holtorf, expert on infectious disease calls the Thimerosal-Mercury that can be found in Flu Vaccines "a proven neuro-toxin. It has 25,000 times the level of mercury that would be considered toxic if it were a food or water. Negative long-term effects are unknown and pose much higher risks than the flu itself. So, what's your next step?

May I suggest that you obtain some of these home flu remedies for your medicine cabinet, so you're ready when the need arises. You can find many of these tools online or at your local health food store.

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor (that would be my husband), and it is not my intent to diagnosis or prescribe. These are things I do in my own family, and represent my personal experiences.

I am a do-it-yourself, happily married, mother of seven energetic kids. My husband is a doctor who works in an emergency room, but I am a natural medicine girl.

I am passionate about empowering people, especially women, mothers and fathers, to be teachers, chefs, and doctors in their own homes.

I write stories about both conventional medicine and natural medicine and how well they work.

Tactical PE On US Sports Net Time To Review Riot Control and General Law Enforcement Training, Educational Requirements and Job Description

General Law Enforcement Training, Educational Requirements and Job Description

  • Author Ryan Sprout

The general requirements in order to become a law enforcement officer are to *Obtain a POST ID (Peace officer Standards and Training ID) *Attend a training academy for law enforcement *Take necessary certification tests and become certified as a peace or law enforcement officer The amount of education you need to become a law enforcement officer varies as the career themselves.

Some college experience is enough in becoming a police officer, while a undergraduate bachelors degree is necessary to pursue a career as an FBI, DEA, ATF or Border patrol agent.  (Continued below....)

(....Continued.....)Many agencies and departments urge their employees to pursue a degree in criminal justice or obtain a post high school education. Courses in criminal justice include but are not limited to criminal justice, humanities, ethics, police organization, administration, leadership development, analytic reasoning, and communications. It's very important to keep in mind that it's important to complete and get your high school diploma. If not, continue forward in your education by getting your GED. You can do so by your local adult education center. None the less, it's always better to acquire some years or a four year college education. The most attractive elements about working as an officer and in the criminal justice field are the routine and scheduling. The possibilities are almost endless with a career in criminal justice and enforcement of laws. A typical day for someone who works in different fields of law enforcement varies depending on the career path you pursue.

Generally an enforcement officer may work in the office cubicle of the agency or more exciting in the field. An officer may encounter things differently everyday from keeping a watchful eye on citizens during a political convention, tapping into a phone call of a fugitive or pretending to be a young girl online to lure a pedophile into a sting operation arrest, assisting with a riot or preventing a terrorist crime from happening. The qualities officers must have are common sense, respect and sense for and of their community, intelligence, mindful of their environment, the courage to make smart decisions when necessary and when to hold back and stay calm, be educated, stay grounded and be realistic about the career field they are in. For those inspired to pursue a career in criminal justice enforcement; the financial and job security are well in place. More importantly, the kickback and personal reward of helping people, saving lives, and keeping the community safe when stressful or dangerous situations arise. For those inspired to pursue a career in the United States law enforcement task force, the financial and job security are well in place. More importantly, the kickback and personal reward of helping people, saving lives and keeping the community safe.

NO MORE PUNISHMENT - From CDM

Many of us may remember being threatened with punishment for some act of disobedience as a child, and the fear that resulted from it.

As adults, we may think the same way about God. This is because religion still teaches the Law of Moses, which is all about punishment and wrath. However, what was true under the law is now no longer true under grace.

Under the law, God punished the children, down to the third and fourth generations, for the sins of the father. This was a generational curse that Jesus took upon Himself when He went to the cross. Jesus took all the anger and punishment meant for us so that God can be merciful to our unrighteousness and remember our sins and iniquities no more. This is true for all believers.

God is no longer angry with us; He is no longer a judge, but is now our loving Father. In the Old Testament, God was distant and unapproachable; the people were warned that they would die if they came near Him. The New Testament actually began with Jesus’ death and resurrection; in it, we’re encouraged to come boldly before His throne of grace, to find mercy and grace to help us in times of need.

God loves us very much and wants a personal relationship with us; therefore, as His children, we don’t have to be timid or afraid of Him. He’s not intent on punishing us, and the idea that bad things happen to people because they’re being punished is wrong-thinking. If we do think that way, studying the Bible to rightly divide the Word of truth helps us renew our minds and think differently. We can be grateful that Christ brought radical change for the better to us.

Prayer:

Lord, as Your children, we don’t have to fear Your punishment. Jesus took all of that on our behalf, as the perfect and eternal sacrifice for our sins. We can now run toward You, not away from You. Thank You for this. In Jesus’ name, amen.
