Grace-Based Relationships from CDM
Relationships make life meaningful and fulfilling; however, the fall of Adam and Eve allowed sin to tarnish those relationships. God’s original plan assigned equal authority to men and women; but almost from the beginning, Adam and Eve’s mistake caused the spread of male domination and a spirit of oppression. To fix the problem, Jesus came to earth to re-establish the balance and restore gender equality. Jesus was God’s grace in human form, and the truths He preached eliminated barriers and reunited people.

At one point in His ministry, Jesus deliberately had a long conversation with the outcast Samaritan woman at the well to emphasize the point that everyone matters to God, men and women. The woman’s testimony of her meeting with Christ caused many to believe. Jesus used her in a powerful way to reach many others, because He wanted to reinforce the message that God will show favor to everyone who accepts Him, regardless of gender. In a patriarchal society, this concept went completely against the prevailing thought patterns.

Many people see God as exclusively male; He’s actually a Spirit. Although He has no gender, He does have female as well as male characteristics. For example, in the Old Testament, wisdom, which is a godly trait and a spiritual gift, is described in feminine terms. Because of what Jesus did, we no longer have to form relationships based on worldly expectations. Men, as well as women, are freed from constrictive, unhealthy requirements based on the Law of Moses.

Everyone now has the liberty to follow God’s call on their lives, regardless of gender. We all realize our full potential when we let grace guide us in all our relationships. Prayer: Father God, Christ came to restore Your original plan for men and women, and it cost Him His life to do so. Believing Your Word concerning relationships causes us to be blessed and empowered to fulfill Your plans. We thank You. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Scriptures: Genesis 1:26-28 John 1:17 John 4:4-39 Proverbs 4:5-13

Be Wiser than the Children of Darkness

By: Graeme Hotter

The other night I watched a program on 20/20 about some people in America who are serial competition junkies. All they do is enter competitions all day in every way they can, especially over the Internet, filling in entry forms and answering questions. They may spend up to $4000 of dollars on stamps and related materials each year and they try and enter the same competition over and over again to increase their chances of winning. One lady gets up every morning at 5.30am and enters in the on line entry forms on her computer and sends off around 2100 entry forms a week. She has won trips all over America and has won many TVs, home appliances, iPods, food parcels, clothes and money. They get unusual prizes like French fries for a year – Yuk. She says she has won over one million dollars since she began 50 years ago. These people are called ‘Sweepers’ and the most exciting time of their day is when they hear the Courier truck driving up the street. Some people say that they are just lucky but they are quick to point out that it’s not just luck but all the hours of effort that they put in every day. Some do it for up to 9 hours a day, sitting at a computer or sending off entry forms.

There are others who do another type of sweeping, and that is patrolling popular swimming beaches or ancient fields early every morning before people come with a metal detector. I recently read of a man that has been doing it now for 10 years with an old 2nd hand metal detector he brought at a Boot Sale. Nothing much was found until he unearthed the largest hoard of Anglo-Saxon gold ever found. Experts are now calculating its value—a process that could take more than a year because of its enormous size. Terry Herbert from Burntwood, Staffordshire, stumbled on the hoard in a private field with his trusty 14-year-old metal detector. Over five days in July, the 55-year-old dug up a fortune on the farmland near to his home. The find was declared as treasure by coroner, which means the cache will be offered for sale after it is valued. More than 1,500 pieces of treasure—including around 11lbs of gold and 5.5lbs of silver—has now been uncovered. Archaeologists believe the hoard dates back to the seventh century and may have belonged to Anglo-Saxon royalty. Among the riches are warfare paraphernalia, including sword pommel caps and hilt plates, often inlaid with precious stones. Terry was unemployed but he didn’t just sit back and moaned but persevered with his passion and was finally rewarded beyond his wildest dreams. It’s obvious that it wasn’t just his luck but hard work. Life can be like fishing; you can go out every day and not get a bite and then suddenly one day it’s all on. You wouldn’t have got the fish if you had stayed at home.

My wife Bernice always wanted to find a treasure like this, it has been her passion. She brought a Metal Detector when she first came to New Zealand to fulfil her dream and on the very first day she went out to Fitzroy Beach in New Plymouth and the detector went wild – off its head. What luck, the Mother Lode on the her very first day. She began digging furiously but found nothing there and soon realised that it was all the iron in the sand that the Beaches have on the West Coast of New Zealand – poor Bernice.

The Bible says that the Children of this world are wiser than many of us Christians.

"And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light." Luke 16:8

As Christians we often moan that we don’t have enough money or talent and have had a bad break in life, yet do very little to change our situation. Hard times may have come our way and we may keep asking God to give us money or a job, but He wants us to do something ourselves as well. The book of proverbs has lots to say about sluggards (lazy people).

"The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied." Proverbs 13:4

"A sluggard does not plow in season; so at harvest time he looks but finds nothing." Proverbs 20:4

"The sluggard says, "There is a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!" Proverbs 26:13

What this last verse is saying is that a lazy person thinks up all sorts of excuses as to why something can’t be done or they can’t do it, so they stay home and do nothing.

When I was at School I used to go looking for golf balls over the many Golf Courses around New Plymouth and made a lot of pocket money. In those days golf balls were quite expensive and not so plentiful as they are today. I would go where no man had been before, crawling on my hands and knees through gorse and wading through freezing water in the middle of winter just to find my treasure.
I kept myself in cigarettes and sweets all through my High School days with all that money. I also used to go to the Bowl of Brooklands which is an outdoor theatre in New Plymouth. Every midnight after a show at the Bowl I would go there with a torch and look in the grass and between the seats for treasure. The Booty was half crowns, cigarettes, and sometimes pound notes and other strange things.

As I think back and see how I and other non-Christians could find ways of making money then, how much more should we as God’s Children apply ourselves now, for God gives wisdom to His children.

"To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind." Eccl 2:26

We need to remember that all the money the sinner makes with all his hard work just goes up in smoke, like all the cigarettes I lit in my youth. The Saxon Lord who buried all his treasure that he had worked so hard for was given to someone else. Something we Christians could do with a little of this wisdom is to sow into the Kingdom of God. Farmers sow seed and so can we do something by sowing seeds of time, money and blessings. God has promised that He will be no debtor to those who give and will reward them greatly. Look at this verse in Malachi.

"Return to me, and I will return to you," says the LORD Almighty. "But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’ "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, ‘How do we rob you?’ "In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty. "Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the LORD Almighty. Malachi 3:6-12

No matter how poor or uneducated you are you will always have something to sow. We need to just start small and slowly build up with our sowing and giving and remember that everything we give is a seed that will eventually grow into a harvest. If it’s not in this life it will definitely be in the next.

"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: "He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever." Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God." 2 Corinthians 9:6-10

God has said that He will multiply our seed sown. Personally I find nothing more satisfying than being able to give, especially to the Household of Faith (Christians). Not just giving, but eventually building up to give extravagantly. I try to live a life of giving in all sorts of ways. Some people are very appreciative when they receive and others are downright unthankful, but it doesn’t matter really, for its God who brings the increase. The earth doesn’t say thank you when you place a seed in it, but it still produces fruit.

"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." Galatians 6:10

Recently I got back quite a bit of tax money from Inland Revenue. I wanted to give some of it away as a seed and asked God who it should be. So often we eat all our seed and have no harvest in the future. It was over $1000 that I was to give and wondered how God would multiply this seed that I had sown. A week later the Stratford Press contacted me and asked me to do cartoons for them which I believe is the reward coming back to me, a multiplying of the seed that I had sown. In the long run it could end up far more than I sowed, but it doesn’t really matter for we should be living a life of giving anyway, God will always look after us. Cartooning is something that I find really easy to do as I think in cartoon language all the time and see funny situations all around me. Cartoonists need to be able to laugh at themselves.

On the line of the world being wiser than us Christians I have another testimony. I have developed a web site where I have all my sermons stored on line and I read somewhere that I will get more traffic back to my site if I write some reviews. Google likes to see that you are linking up with other websites and it increases your page ranking, writing a review on a website is a way to do this. I wondered how I could do it without spending too much time so I thought of movie reviews. I like watching movies and really enjoyed a Sci-Fi movie lately that alluded to the possibility that the heroine was an Angel. In my short review I made mention of this and gave a link back to my site with the sermon I recently did on Angels, from a biblical point of view. Within a day I was having 5 people coming to the site from those movie review sites to read my sermon. We need to remember that millions of people are watching films out there which they believe in and if we can steer them to the truth of God’s word it will be worthwhile.

Someone said once something like this. "Instead of crying against the darkness we need to turn on the light." http://graemehotter.blogspot.com

How To Practice Your Golf Game At Home

Learn to Play Golf

By: Stevie Katz

Golf is a celebrated game among the elite (not necessarily as golf is enjoyed by many at many economic levels). Golf can be a very gratifying game but sometimes it can prove frustrating too. So unless a person has love or passion for the game of golf it is not easy to learn to play golf. People who want to learn to play golf are offered a cafeteria of choices to train themselves. But real practice sessions are a must while learning to play golf. The other options for learning to play golf include golf videos, golf books, interactive videos, golf articles in magazines and direct learning program for golf.

Some of the important thumb rules that are kept in mind when learning to play golf are
  • Learn to play golf gripping the club in the correct way
  • Learn to align the club face properly
  • Learn to have the correct swing and the art of back swing
  • Learn to have a controlled swing
  • Learn to master the move of one-piece takeaway
  • Learn to enhance of straight ball flight,
  • LearnĂ‚  to have a perfect impact
  • Learn to boost consistency
  • Learn to have increased distance
  • Learn to have the right hand action
These key areas of the game have to be concentrated upon so that the efforts put forth in learning to play golf bears fruits. Though a professional golf trainer is important to a great extent to learn to play golf, a lot more lies on the shoulders of the person who learns to play golf. Consistent and regular practice is a must to learn to play golf efficiently and effectively. Repetition of a skill while learning to play golf is a must to bring in self-confidence and victory. Allowing criticism also helps because a check comes for a fault from an outsider which a person learning to play golf will not be able to see for himself.
Learning to play golf might be a group activity with groups ranging from two to a maximum of eight. Persons learning to play golf can undergo these training sessions at any time of the year for it is available all through the year. Improvement is facilitated by allowing the persons learning to play golf to join in groups based on their levels namely- beginners, intermediate and advanced.
Getting the right equipment to learn to play golf is important. But investing on expensive equipment at the earlier stages of learning golf can be a waste.Ă‚  It is imperative to learn the rules and etiquette of the golf game while learning to play it. A basic level of competency in golf is a must when you play in a golf course. This can lift up your confidence levels which are also very essential while learning to play golf.

The three major problems that arise for golfers when learning to play golf are inconsistency, slice and distance. Even though ready made solutions are available on golf books and videos and no matter how much a person reads or discusses on golf, learning to play golf needs the person going to the range and doing it practically; for practice makes a skill perfect.

Rory McIlroy Trains To Be Stronger Than His Critics from Bodybuilding.com

Once upon a time, golfers were considered anything but athletic. Nowadays, the top pros fill out a golf shirt while dazzling on the green. Are they setting themselves up to fail?

Rory McIlroy Trains To Be Stronger Than His Critics

Golfer Rory McIlroy burst onto the global competitive golf scene back in 2007, racking up victories and big dollars at an age when most young men are doing anything but. And he did it despite having a body composition that was, shall we say, nonathletic, and a number of other big physical warning signs.
"I wasn't really big into the gym," McIlroy recalled in a Nike commercial in 2014. "I couldn't stand on one leg for more then 10 seconds. I couldn't hold a plank for more than 30 seconds." Combine that with his admittedly "terrible" posture, and any trainer worth his or her clipboard would probably see an injury waiting to happen—particularly in combination with McIlroy's violent golf swing.

Rory McIlroy and Nike Training Present: Inner Strength
Watch the video - 2:09

So what did the young Irishman do? He got into the gym and transformed himself. His results would seem to speak for themselves—19 professional wins, $150 million in winnings, all by the tender age of 26—but he's had to deal with a steady stream of criticism ever since he turned the corner and got fit.
Here's the latest shot tossed at McIlroy from behind the mic, courtesy of Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee:
"When I see the things he's doing in the gym, I think of what happened to Tiger Woods ... and it does give me a little concern when I see the extensive weightlifting that Rory is doing in the gym."
It's easy to just roll your eyes at a statement like this and say, "Strong is always better, duh," but let's give Mr. Chamblee the benefit of the doubt and unpack it a bit.

What happened to Tiger Woods

For years, Tiger Woods was slight of build, while definitely athletic, and he had great success on the golf course. Like, the greatest anyone has ever had.
Then, he started getting hurt all the time. He also started showing up to tournaments looking more like a free safety than your standard golfer. Were the two related? Plenty of people were eager to say they were, stating that Woods was restricted, bulky, and too strong for his own good.
So let's imagine the torque Tiger's dynamic swing put on his body. If you've ever seen him swing—and you have, because we all have—then you know it's a lot. Now take into account that he performed this move almost exclusively in one direction, starting in infancy. Don't forget, he was featured on the Mike Douglas show at age 3, and could shoot a respectable 48 at nine holes at that age. He's 40 now, and has been a professional golfer since his teenage years. Even by conservative calculations, he has probably swung the golf club several million times in his life.

Honestly, it's amazing his eyes and his toes still point in the same direction. Criticizing him for having back pain is like blaming a gladiator's training for the fact that he got stabbed in the back in the arena. Tiger's weight-training regimen was designed to balance his body and save it from a lifetime of damage from the golf swing, not to blindly add stress or build muscle mass for its own sake.
That he ultimately lost the battle—and is reportedly in near-constant pain as he enters his fifth decade of life—isn't an indictment of strength training. It's an indictment of single-minded devotion to individual sports, and a call for more well-rounded athleticism.
Smart trainers—not just talking-head commentators—know this. Virtually every sport causes some form of extreme repetition of movement, often with considerable force. Athletes and their trainers have come to understand this, and they've instituted weight-training protocols to correct these imbalances and provide sport-specific advantages.

So what was Rory doing, anyway?

To hear his critics describe it, you'd think McIlroy had entered the CrossFit Games. But the truth? He was "caught" performing squats. Here's his selfie-described workout:
  • Squat: 3 sets of 10 reps, 225 pounds
  • Squat: 3 sets of 3 reps, 265 pounds

He's also been pictured deadlifting a similar amount, and doing easy sets with 225 using the trap bar. In the Nike video, you can also see him doing push-ups, renegade rows, and some rotational medicine-ball work.
None of this is indicative of someone trying to break into powerlifting. It's not bodybuilding, either—and McIlroy has been quick to note that he still weighs just 165 pounds. It's really indicative of someone who has simply done the work to develop a healthy body composition and build strong legs, hips, and core. All of those muscles are integral to the golf swing—and to being a healthy, functional athlete and human being.

Honestly, this training protocol and the one captured in the video are more likely to help extend McIlroy's career than they are to shorten it. Having a solid base of muscle mass and stronger spinal stabilizers—an advantage that squats and deadlift variations definitely provide—helps prevent accumulating injury from performing the same explosive twisting move, say, a couple of million times.

The Bottom Line

Of course, we can all point to someone who does it wrong—someone who gets big and simultaneously begins spiraling down an endless series of injuries, big and small. Are the two related? Sometimes. And sometimes, that person was going to get injured one way or another.
Each of us can also probably point to someone who got fit and strong and watched their back pain disappear, saw their quality of life skyrocket, and felt and performed better than they ever dreamed possible. McIlroy has a long road ahead of him, but the success he's achieved in his early years says more than Chamblee ever could.
"It's a necessity. It's what I need to do," McIlroy says in the Nike video. "And I feel like getting in here gives me the best possible chance to go out on the golf course and perform to the best of my ability."
He's earned the benefit of the doubt. It's the repetition, unbalanced, that causes damage. That, and opening your mouth when you have nothing informed to say.

BBcom Featuring: Chocolate Casein Protein Pudding Recipe | Kris Gethin

For a nighttime treat, you can’t beat this high-protein, casein protein pudding recipe! Today, Kris Gethin is going to show you how to use Kaged Muscles Micellar Casein Isolate to make a tasty high-protein pudding.
► Shop Kaged Muscle Kasein Protein: https://bbcom.me/39ERSxI
► BodyFit Training Programs: https://bbcom.me/2TzKrSA

| Top 4 Benefits of Casein Protein |
 1. Greater Muscle Retention Whenever you're going on a lower calorie diet, one of the first issues that will become a growing concern is lean muscle mass loss. Since you will not be supplying enough calories to fully support all the energy needs required throughout the day, you're forcing your body to turn to stored body tissues for energy.
2. Greater Fat Loss Since casein protein is a form of protein that is higher in calcium content that also proves to be a benefit in terms of total fat loss. Many individuals are quick to turn away from dairy products while attempting to lose body fat because they feel it will slow them down.
3. Helps Promote Colon Health Another very important benefit of casein protein powder is that it helps promote colon health. In a study performed out of Australia, researchers investigated the health benefits of various proteins and found that dairy proteins promote colon health better than meat and soy. This proves to be yet another reason why you should strongly consider adding casein protein to your daily intake.
4. Higher Quality Of Protein Finally, the last benefit you'll receive by introducing casein protein into your diet is that of it being one of the best high quality sources of protein available. While meeting your minimum protein requirements is always top priority, if you're taking in high quality sources of protein to meet these requirements less will be excreted by the body and you'll need less overall to maintain lean muscle mass.

 | Kaged Muscle Kasein: Micellar Casein Isolit |
An ultra-premium cold-processed Micellar Casein Isolate that is carefully manufactured from by an innovative microfiltration process. This filtration method preserves the structural integrity of the protein ensuring that the finished product maintains its natural micellar structure as it is found in milk. Casein proteins are pH sensitive causing them to thicken in the acidic environment of the stomach. The proteins’ ability to form a gel in the stomach slows down the digestion rate allowing for a sustained release of amino acids. This makes casein ideal for nighttime or prolonged periods throughout the day without protein. Kasein™ is a game-changing anti-catabolic protein that you can’t ignore if you are serious about doing all you can to add size and strength.*

During the night your body goes the longest period of time without food. Fasting for 6-8 hours, the body starts going into a catabolic state as it has gone a long duration of time without any nutrients. Kasein slowly and continuously feeds your muscles a steady supply of essential amino acids for several hours. This plays an important part in maintaining a positive nitrogen balance and long-term anabolic state which can help avoid muscle protein breakdown.*

The effects of this slow amino acid release have been investigated in a number of studies and are known to be very effective at promoting an anti-catabolic environment.*

Not only did the Kaged Muscle RnD team build a top quality Micellar Casein, but they also took it to the next level by nailing amazing milkshake-like flavors for both our vanilla and chocolate options – without using artificial flavors or colors. These flavors are like nothing else you have ever tried! Our RnD team spent over 6 months just working on the flavor systems alone. There’s no reason why you cannot get the results you crave while enjoying the taste of your supplements at the same time.  Learn more................

A Few Effective Back Pain Relief Exercises

By: David Taylor

Exercises are very important parts for treating back pain. Age, overuse and muscular imbalances may cause back and muscular pain. It's the best way to manage the pain that'll determine how well you heal and just how to fit the back gets once the pain has been gone. It's in this time period which you ought to do pain relief exercises that will allow you to get on your own feet.

You'll find certain exercises which you could do at this time to help strengthen and elongate sore muscles and also help your backbone to remain precisely calibrated. Thus, give a number of those exercises a try and reduce back pain relief and also cure quickly and readily.
Contemplate chest flies to get back pain relief. These exercises also help strengthen the torso and front spine, that may help ease back and neck pain from bending and consuming shock to that shoulder muscles.

Attempt a vessel pose to greatly fortify your stomach without adding stress to a problematic back. Take a seat on the floor, knees bent, and arms bent behind you, then fingers pointed forwards. Maintain the positioning, but pull up your arms so that they're parallel to the ground, about nearly in knee height. Hold for approximately 15 minutes and come back to starting location. Baseball's Reggie Jackson - How He Trained Back Then And Now At 60!

Recently I was having some pictures taken at the gym when my friend, Baseball Hall Of Fame great, Reggie Jackson stopped by. Learn more about who he is, how he used to train, and how he trains now at 60!
Recently I was having some pictures taken at the gym, Diesel Fitness in Seaside, Calif. - Drop by sometime if you're ever in the area. My friend (ex-boss) and a man who is a real inspiration to me walked in. I'm talking about Mr. October, Hall of Fame great Reggie Jackson. I asked him if he would mind taking a few pictures with me. He said "Sure!"
A few weeks earlier my good friend and potential co-host and partner Monica Starr was in town and we asked Reggie to sit down and do an interview with Monica and again he agreed.

Alright we're not talking about some bum on the streets! We are talking about a sports immortal! A man who has accomplished much both on and off the field. A man who is constantly badgered for his time and autograph regardless if he is in the middle of dinner or waiting to get his teeth cleaned - Should he say no, he get's the rap that he is arrogant or words that we can't put in this article.
Nobody seems to be neutral on Reggie Jackson. You're either a fan or a detractor. One-time teammate Darold Knowles would seem to be in the latter camp. "There isn't enough mustard in the world to cover Reggie Jackson," Knowles said. Sorry Darold I have to disagree! This article is to give you a little insight to the man I know.

Mr. October

Mr. October!!! For those of you who don't know or were too young (sorry Reggie). This nickname was given to Reggie for playing his best when the games were the most important; example: The World Series, which if you don't know, is played in October.
Reggie Jackson became the first player to win the World Series MVP award (named for Babe Ruth, the only other player to hit three home runs in a World Series game) for two different teams. In 27 World Series games, he amassed 10 home runs, including five during the 1977 Series (with 4 in 4 consecutive at bats, the last three on first pitches), 24 RBI and a .357 batting average. Now that's clutch ball playing!

Reggie Jackson 1 Of 3:

Reggier hit a career total of 563 home runs, placing him in the top ten of all-time home-run hitters.

OK! Reggie has been my boss, my friend, my hero, my idol and even my verbal sparring partner. Of course I never win - he's always one step faster and smarter than I am. He is the most giving selfless man I know ... as long as he doesn't feel taken advantage of by bums like me.
If this sounds personal, well it is. You can go anywhere to read about Reggie's accomplishments on the ball field. This article is a testimony to the man I know. However since this is a fitness column. Let's talk a little about his physical conditioning.

This Is A Testimony To The Man I Know.

Physical Conditioning

At 60-years young, the physical shape of Reggie Jackson is incredible. OK, he's had his share of injuries lately. He suffered a back injury a few years ago when he helped an overweight gentleman up, after he slipped in a restaurant. One of the discs in his back had completely disintegrated. Whether this was from picking this gentleman up or if it was the straw that broke the camel's back, after the rigors of a collegiate football and pro baseball career, we don't know.
Speaking of straws! During an interview with Sport Magazine writer Robert Ward, Reggie was quoted as saying,

"I am the straw that stirs the drink. Maybe I should
say me and (Thurman-Yankee All-Star Catcher) Munson,
but he can only stir it bad."
Reggie said he never even made this statement. This is the kind of thing I am talking about. People of greatness always have someone ready to throw darts at them. In my opinion it's like shooting spitballs at a battleship.
He was also injured two years ago while at Yankee Training Camp in Florida when he was rear-ended by a car as he was stopped at a light. He had neck and shoulder trauma. Still his physical conditioning is incredible, the kind of shape someone 20 years his junior would be proud of. Jackson still weighs in the 220 range with no jiggly stuff on him and within 5 lbs of what he weighed during his playing days.
Ahead Of His Time:
Monica asked Reggie if he worked out while he was playing and if there were any structured team workouts at that time. Reggie said he has always worked out even though weightlifting was taboo at that time for sports.

Reggie Was Weightlifting Long Before
It Was Popular In Sports.
He had been an avid weightlifter all his life. There were no off-season programs for athletes of that era. Ballplayers came to camp and played themselves into shape. Man how times have changed.

Monica also asked him about his diet and he said he has always kept his protein up and ate clean. The man was way ahead of his time!
Reggie's Workouts:
Reggie's workouts are still a thing to behold, though injuries and age (sorry again) are taking their toll. The days of bench pressing 405lbs for reps and squatting 315lbs for sets of 20 may be over. Even with a disintegrated disk and bad shoulders Reggie still throws the weights around.
He still easily handles 80lb dumbbells in chest movements. I'm sure he could do more if he wanted but what would be the point. He handles equally impressive weight in other upper body exercises. Again remember he is 60!
He no longer squats but does quad and hamstring work to keep things in balance. He also does large amounts of work with fit-balls or whatever ya call 'em. Remember I'm a powerlifter; they're all balls to me. He also does a lot of core work with medicine balls. Do they still call them that? Or is there a newfangled name for them also? ... again balls!!!
