Fasting for Detoxing the Body & 31 Ways to Naturally Detox (Part 2) | The Truth About Cancer Present Health Nuggets

 -Author Stephanie Fredricksen, LMT

I have listed a few ways to fast for detoxing the body, mind, and soul. Just remember to be careful to drink plenty of water during any fast to make sure that you are not getting dehydrated. Drinking plenty of water also helps the body rid itself of toxins faster, so that you don’t get as many side effects from the fast. If you have any questions please message me.

Water Fasting:

Water fasting has been one of the greatest healing techniques in history and continues to be so today.

There are many discussions that great ancient personalities like Plato, Socrates, Aristotle, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Pythagoras did with water fasting. Plus, there is a bank of new information about water fasting available on the Internet, of which, the documentary called ‘Eat, Fast and Live Longer’ is highly recommended. (Continued below...........)

In the last episode of TTAC Health Nuggets, we talked about toxins. And although toxins may seem unavoidable in today’s world there are plenty of steps you can take right now to keep your body healthy. Check out the video above for 16 new and natural ways to detoxify your body.

(Continued........)Scientific research has proved how the brain literally grows, and you become more intelligent when you fast. On top of that, recent studies at the University of California Berkeley stated that 3 day water fasts reset your immune system by activating the stem cells and enables you to perform at the optimum level.

Let me tell you first, a little about the theory of sickness.

Every day we do a variety of things: breathe air that is not so pure, drink liquids that are not so good, etc., which eventually clogs our body filters, such as the lungs, nose, liver, and kidneys.

Over time, our bodies heat up and then the immune system gets knocked down. Fevers actually make the body sweat out toxins and triggers the urge to not eat, a natural fast. Three to four days of water fasting is good in such times. This will help clean out your system.

So should you allow your body to just go through this natural process of getting really sick and going through pain in order to thoroughly cleanse the system? Well, if you are cleaning the filters on a regular basis by doing a water fast, there is no need to get sick.

Another more simpler way than doing a full water fast is to try intermittent fasting.

Essentially what that is, is within a week you do not eat anything for one whole day, and this will allow for the liver and kidneys to detoxify completely and get rid of all the toxins.

It is, however, important to really hydrate yourself within that 24-hour span either with lots of water. To help flush out the toxins you can also do a salt flush, an enema, breathing exercises and natural skin cleansing.

Diabetic and hypoglycemic people are often advised not to fast but with the right support it can potentially help their bodies release stem cells, and help repair their bodies.

For an intermittent fast you can start at noon, miss dinner, sleep, miss breakfast and start eating again at noon. This is one of the simpler ways, and if you stay really hydrated, it should not be difficult for you.

If you can’t do 24 hours, skipping a small meal also helps. I would suggest another way is to drink lots of juices and do a two-day juice fast.

For an ultimate cleanse – four extended 10 day water fasts per year is recommended to rebuild, reset hormones and have clear consciousness, energy, and clarity. Following the seasons is a good way to remember.

Juice Fasting:

A juice cleanse is a type of detox diet that involves consuming vegetable and fruit juice for a short period of time (typically one to three days). Some programs include one or more smoothies per day to provide protein, fat, and other nutrients for energy and to curb hunger. Vegan meals and snacks are included on some plans.

According to proponents, a juice cleanse supports the body’s natural detox processes, clears the diet of sugar, caffeine, refined foods, and other foods and substances that can deplete energy, and jumpstarts a more healthful way of eating.

Raw, organic juice is the key component of the cleanse because of the nutrients, phytochemicals, and antioxidants that are in an easily absorbable liquid form. Vegan, gluten-free meals and snacks may be included for people requiring more energy, are new to juice cleansing, or want a less extreme experience.

Juice cleanses can be done at home using a juicer or juice press. Cleanse programs are also available in many cities at local juice bars, larger chain stores such as Whole Foods Market, Costco, or Target, or can be ordered online from companies such as Blueprint Cleanse, Organic Avenue, and Pressed Juicery.

The format of a juice cleanse includes these steps:

  1. Preparation for a Juice Cleanse 1 to 5 Days Before: Although it may be tempting to jump into a juice cleanse, preparation is considered essential. Certain foods, such as coffee, refined sugar, meat, dairy products, wheat, alcohol, and nicotine are gradually eliminated to reduce headaches, cravings, and other withdrawal symptoms. It’s also considered important to increase intake of fresh vegetables, fruits, and fluids during the pre-cleanse.

  2. 3-Day Juice Cleanse: During the actual cleanse days, at least 32 ounces of juice or smoothie is usually suggested, with at least half being green vegetable juice.

This is a typical day on a 3-day juice fast:

• Upon waking: lukewarm water with a splash of fresh lemon juice

• 8-9am: Juice, such as the Green vegetable juice

• 10:30-11:30am: Juice (or smoothie/cleanse food)

• 1-2 pm: Juice (or smoothie/cleanse food)

• 3-4pm: Juice such as the Beet, carrot, apple juice

• 5-6pm: Juice (or smoothie/cleanse food)

• 6-8 pm: Smoothie or almond or cashew nut "milk"

Smoothies and vegan food can be included or substituted in more gentle juice cleanses. Room temperature or lukewarm water may be consumed between each juice or meal to promote elimination.

To optimize nutrient absorption, juice cleanse proponents recommend drinking juice slowly rather than gulping it down. Juice is typically consumed a couple of hours apart, with the final drink of the day being at least three hours before bedtime.

Fruits and vegetables used to make the juices often include celery, kale, carrot, cabbage, apple, spinach, beets, and leafy greens. Avocados and bananas don't juice well, and the pits of peaches, apricots, cherries and other fruit, apple seeds, carrot, and rhubarb tops, and tough skins of kiwi, pineapple and mangos should be avoided. Organic produce is best, but if it's unavailable, a fruit and vegetable wash (often available in health food stores) may help to remove pesticide residues.

People often find it easiest to juice at the beginning or end of the day and to make enough for one full day. Although juice should be consumed as close to the time of juicing as possible, juice can be stored in covered glass or BPA-free cups or bottles.

If hunger pangs are persistent or uncomfortable, vegetable broth or a small snack such as carrots, celery, a salad, or a piece of fruit is often suggested. For certain people, a modified juice fast that includes a salad each day for lunch or dinner may be recommended.

  1. Breaking the Juice Cleanse: After the juice fast is complete, food is usually reintroduced into the diet over several days. Start adding foods a little each day, staring with only fresh fruits and veggies, then moving on to adding in organic grains, nuts, and meats.

  2. Common Questions and Precautions: A juice cleanse isn't right for everyone. It should not be undertaken by children or if you're pregnant or nursing or you have diabetes or chronic liver, kidney, or gallbladder problems. There can be side effects and you will need tactics to deal with the hunger pangs.

Physical activity

While it’s a good idea to tone down your exercise routine during a juice cleanse, normal activity such as walking can help to boost blood and lymphatic circulation. Also, try massage therapy (such as Swedish massage, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, and Thai massage), contrast showers, and skin brushing, which can be done as part of a regular shower.

Mind/body wellness

Stress can have negative effects on health and can impair detoxification. Allow the mind to rest by incorporating mind/body practices such as diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, or mindfulness meditation. Try to get plenty of rest. Go to bed as early as you can and take naps if possible.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, the liver is associated with anger, the kidneys with fear, and the gallbladder holds frustration. Proponents of juice cleansing believe that old emotions may arise and be cleansed from the system as the corresponding organs are cleansed.

Bone Broth Fasting:

If you want to come out of your juice or water fast in a more nutritious way, instead of going right to adding foods back into the diet you can do a bone broth first. The nutrients found in bone broth are incredibly healing for the body, and consuming it on a regular basis is one of the simplest and least expensive ways to improve your health.

Bone broth has become well known as one of the best foods to eat to improve leaky gut and autoimmune conditions. And as a natural source of nutrients like collagen, gelatin, several trace minerals, and anti-inflammatory amino acids, bone broth also provides the building blocks for glowing, youthful skin, strong bones and joints, improved muscle strength, and tissue repair.

What is a Bone Broth Fast?

A bone broth fast combines the health benefits of short-term or intermittent fasting with those of drinking bone broth—which often results in both short- and long-term benefits, such as increased energy, better digestion, weight loss, a faster metabolism, clearer and brighter looking skin, and more restful sleep. Similar to a water fast, a bone broth fast involves taking a break from solid foods and consuming liquids throughout the day. But during a bone broth fast, instead of drinking only herbal tea and water, you drink several cups of bone broth throughout the day (anywhere from five to eight cups).

One of the key benefits of a bone broth fast (over a dry fast or water fast) is that it allows you to consistently take in plenty of essential nutrients, electrolytes, and protein. This prevents you from becoming dehydrated and helps keep your energy levels up, while the protein from the collagen and gelatin keeps your appetite satisfied. And you can probably agree that you’re most likely to stick to a fast when it doesn’t leave you feeling starved, light-headed, or deprived. (In fact, many people report feeling full until lunchtime when they drink bone broth first thing in the morning.)

How Bone Broth Can "Supercharge" Your Fast

Bone broth is probably the best "health elixir" you can drink when you fast. It’s like filling up your gas tank with premium fuel. This is because bone broth provides a ton of bioavailable nutrition to support your body’s natural healing processes without taking you out of a fasted state. In contrast, you take in very few nutrients on a regular water fast.

As mentioned above, bone broth is rich in collagen and gelatin, but animal bones also contain several other compounds and anti-inflammatory amino acids that are exceptionally healing to the body, such as glucosamine, chondroitin, hyaluronic acid, proline, and glycine. These nutrients can help:

• Improve poor digestion, reduce intestinal inflammation, and improve symptoms of chronic digestive issues, such as Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis

• Reduce joint pain and inflammation

• Reduce food intolerances, sensitivities, and allergies

• Improve skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis

• Boost immunity

• Strengthen bones and joints, and heal cartilage and tissue

• Promote healthier skin, hair, and nails

• Improve sleep quality

• May improve the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks

• Support the nervous system Promote blood sugar balance and improve insulin sensitivity

Of course, drinking bone broth at any time (not just when fasting) will offer these health benefits. However, when you’re fasting and consuming only bone broth, your body may be able to digest and absorb these nutrients even more efficiently, allowing them to go where they’re needed that much quicker.

Nutritive Bone Broth

Simmering leftover bones in water makes a nutrient-dense broth rich in minerals like iron and calcium, as well as beneficial gelatin. Adding a splash of apple cider vinegar increases the breakdown of minerals from the bones. But you don’t have to stop there. Add nutritive, Adaptogenic, and tonic herbs and immune-enhancing mushrooms to give yourself a boost whenever you use the broth in recipes. For a vegetarian version, simmer everything but the bones, and add 1 tablespoon of miso paste per cup of hot water before serving. Feel free to adapt the recipe to your taste buds and the ingredients you have on hand.

Broth Base:

• About 1 gallon water

• Poultry carcasses, 12 cut beef bones, or 1-3 fish carcasses

• Splash of apple cider vinegar

• Basic stock vegetables (onions, garlic, carrots, celery, or whatever you prefer)

Nutritive Herbs:

• 1-2 tablespoons nettles, oat straw, and/or horsetail

• 1 tablespoon seaweed flakes or 1-3 large strips seaweed

• 1 tablespoon calendula

Seasonings:

• ¼ - 1 teaspoon turmeric

• Pinch of cayenne

• Salt and freshly ground black pepper to preferred taste

Immune, Adaptogenic & Tonic Herbs:

• 3 slices astragalus root (Chinese herb, seasonal allergic rhinitis)

• 1 tablespoon codonopsis root (Used in Asian cuisine)

• 1 tablespoon ashwangandha root (Indian ginseng, reduces anxiety)

• 1 fresh burdock root, slices, or 1 tablespoon dried

• 6 ounces fresh shiitakes and/or maitakes, or 1 tablespoon powdered mushrooms

• 1 slice reishi mushroom

Combine all the ingredients in a large pot or slow cooker. Bring to a slow simmer, and let simmer over low heat for 3 hours or longer (up to 3 days in a slow cooker). Strain and use as desired in recipes calling for broth. To concentrate the broth, after you stain it, simmer the broth uncovered until it is reduced to one-quarter to one-half the original volume. You can freeze it for later use (in ice-cube trays if you like, for proportioned servings). For therapeutic uses, aim to consume 1 cup of broth or 1 ounce of concentrated broth (that’s one ice cube) once or twice daily.

Hunt, Collect or Protect: Finding the Gun for You Presented on US Sports Net by Tactical PE and Concealed Carrry

 -Author Jericho Pineda

Under the Second Amendment to the Constitution, we as U.S. citizens have the right to bear arms. The Constitutional right to own and possess firearms is one that few countries have. Here in the U.S., we have more guns per person than any other country. Having the right doesn’t mean that everyone owns a gun; here are three reasons why people choose to purchase firearms.

Today, Riley Bowman and Matthew Maruster talk about factors that people THINK matter when buying or choosing a gun...but actually don't. Grip angle, bore axis, sight radius, and other topics will all come up in today's episode. See more episodes here.

Hunting: For as long as guns have been in existence they’ve been used for hunting. Firearms hold serious advantages over bows in terms of power and range. With a hunting rifle, a hunter can hit their target well beyond double the distance they could with a bow. In addition to the range advantage, it’s easier to obtain a kill shot with a rifle.

Collecting: Just about anything can be collected, and guns are no exception. Each gun collector collects for a different reason. Some collectors focus on historical firearms. Others, own modern guns of varying types and calibers. Still, other collectors take an interest in the evolution of guns and own both historical and modern firearms.

Protection: You don’t need to watch the news to know that we live in a dangerous world. Many gun owners purchase firearms for self-defense. It’s not uncommon for U.S. citizens to keep guns in their homes for home protection. Every day, more and more people are taking classes and obtaining concealed firearm licenses. Though no one ever wants to be in a situation where they have to pull a gun, many would agree that it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Whatever your reasons for buying guns, they have to come from somewhere. In addition to buying retail goods and groceries online, today’s world also allows for online purchases of firearms. When purchasing guns online, be careful in selecting the merchant using only reputable websites.

Unlike other products, firearms that are purchased online can’t be shipped directly to your door. Instead, guns are sent to a Federal Firearm License (FFL) dealer of your choosing. Once the FFL dealer has received your gun, you can pick it up at their store after completing the necessary background check.

Purchasing firearms online is often a great way to find deals and save money. Using the internet to buy guns also broadens the selection that is available to you. Before buying guns online, do your research on the dealer and ultimately, use your best judgment.

For the best customer service from any gun store in Kentucky check out Bragg About it Guns & Ammo. In addition to online sales they also provide firearms education classes in Kentucky.

The Rock Almighty! Shaker Of Heaven and Earth & Awakening the Creative Intelligence of your Soul Through the Connection with God's Spirit

  • Author Kathryn Bonner

The Lord God… He awakens me each morning; He awakens my ear to listen... Isaiah 50:4

When I was a young girl, my friends and I would lay in the grass, flat on our backs gazing up at the wispy clouds blowing into different shapes. They would be ever so slowly blown forming many shapes. We’d point up to the clouds and ask, “Do you see the poodle? Do you see the airplane? …the high heel shoe? …the pelican?” Some of us would immediately see the object, and some of us would struggle to see what the clouds reflected. This activity was so entertaining; we’d lie there for hours on beautiful days. Even in our youth we knew that our Creator was amazing. Lying there with my friends, we would have really deep and profound conversations for our age, looking up at the vast never ending blue and white puffs in the sky; we’d ask such powerfully felt questions wondering “How did God form the earth and everything in it? Why are we here? What are we supposed to be doing?”

There was a huge sweet smelling honeysuckle bush that lined and entire fence and we’d pick the golden yellow trumpet shaped flower off of the bush and find the little green stem on the end and pull it like a thread through the flower, dragging the little tiny dab of sugary sweet syrup to our lips and enjoy the taste of the sweet honey! We wondered how God put the sweet syrup in the beautiful honeysuckle flower! Again we were amazed with the Lord’s creative intelligence. Continuing to survey the clouds we were delighted in the amazement and wonder of it all! This was the way that I began to attempt to discover who and what God was, and why I was here.

We would then fix our eyes on other creatures around us. We’d pick up the doodle bugs (also known as roly-pollies, pill bugs, and armadillo bugs). These bugs have a shell-like body that can tuck and roll up for protection, which is how they got many of the names we called them. Most people think that they are insects, but they are not! They actually breathe through gills! In the tiniest little creature, there is such creativity, such beauty!

Early on in my life I was aware of the Holy Spirit through Gods creation, through animals and nature, through the wind and the rain, the flowing river, the silence and through music, through laughter and tears, through joy, through relationships, through sweet aromas, sunrises and sunsets, and clouds! Ultimately, I experience God through you, through love, which I consider to be the most creative and intelligent source the Lord has provided.

When I think about “Creative Intelligence” I think of God, the Holy Spirit. God is the definitive, The Great Creator, and the Greatest of all Intelligence. This scripture comes to mind…

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. Isaiah 40:28 NLT

So, what does having an “Awakened Life” or “Holy Spirit-connected life” mean? It means to live wholly holy. Don’t think that Jesus expects this way of living as “having to be perfect”… For me, it means to be completely in step with the Holy Spirit, to make a choice for Christ. Within that choice is an amazing freedom. He carries our burdens, instills us with His Holy Spirit! This is amazing love! This is the ultimate in creative intelligence.

Keeping in step with the Spirit takes active concentration, commitment, and discipline. Unfortunately, many people (including myself) can pay attention to so many other things that keep us from living and walking with the Holy Spirit. One of those obstacles is pride, which CS Lewis says, “is spiritual cancer that eats up the very possibility of love, or contentment, or even common sense.”

It’s been said, and I believe this with my whole heart; that we speak to God with every word and breath that we release. And with each and every breath we breathe in He makes Himself known to us. After all He is the breath of life. We are never apart or separated from God, although we can miss “hearing him speak to us” if we are not tuned in to His message. Too often we tune Him out, like so many other things in our lives.

From my heart to your heart…

I want for you to be in connection with the Lord, the giver of life, who stretched out his arms on the cross, and offered himself, a perfect sacrifice for you and the whole world, so that you would have life everlasting.

He has joy for you, plans for you to prosper, and to love, even in the midst of struggle. I want to give of you hope and joy in your journey. The choice to live in every moment with love, faith, and glorious expectation is mine and yours! Don’t let anything or anyone stop you from living in the glory that the Holy Spirit provides.

For those of you who have God given dreams, keep dreaming. Make sure that you dream big enough dreams that you must include God!! Push beyond the limits of your comfort zone! Do you realize where those dreams come from? Do you trust where they originate? Step out in faith, don’t just sit there sitting on your dream, embrace it! Love it, and live it!

What are you doing with your mind? What way are you choosing to live your life? What thoughts, what character do you want or do you long for? Be transformed by the renewing of your mind!

Romans 12:2 reads; Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. (Amplified version)

As a Life Coach, I partner with you in discovering the dreams God has given you and I encourage those I coach to begin praying, about the plan that the Lord has. Always pray about the choices you make and why you make them. My prayer for you is to Awaken your Spirit, transform your life into a breathtaking and joyous, Holy Spirit life! Live for God, because He lives for you!

If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit”— Gal. 5:25

My prayer for you is to Awaken your Spirit, transform your life into a breathtaking and joyous, Holy Spirit life! Live for God, because He lives for you, I know this to be true!

Go lie down, flat on your back, with ears to hear, a heart prepared, eyes gazing up into the clouds, and experience the enormity of His love for you! Dream, pray, bask in His glory; discover the beauty He has for you! Discovery is one of the best parts of the journey!

Here's to being Awakened each morning by His voice!

The Sinner’s Need Of Christ – Steps To Christ, Chapter 1 & Tim Hawkins Christian Comedian

  • Author Smithsfalls Adventist

Welcome to Chapter 1: The Sinner’s Need of Christ

In Short:

Why do sinners need help?

Why only Christ could provide that remedy?

Mankind was originally:

endowed with noble abilities

with a well-balanced mind

perfect in their being

in harmony with God

with pure thoughts and holy aims.

Humanity was made captive by Satan (continued below.........)

Listen on Apple Music

(........ Continued.......)After they sinned, our first parents could no longer find joy in holiness. Furthermore, they sought to hide from the presence of God. Such is still the condition of the unrenewed heart. We are not in harmony with God, and find no joy in communion with Him. The sinners could not be happy in God’s presence. They would shrink from the companionship of holy beings. There thoughts, interests and motives, would be alien to those that actuate the sinless dwellers there. Heaven would be to them a place of torture.

It is no arbitrary dictate on the part of God that excludes the wicked from heaven. They are shut out by their own unfitness for its companionship. The glory of God would be to them a consuming fire. They would welcome destruction, that they might be hidden from the face of Him who died to redeem them. Moreover, human race would have remained so forever had not God specially interposed. Satan would point to all this evil he caused such as:

state of misery and degradation

darkness, accusations, deceptions and lies

alienation and damnation

lack of satisfaction and crashed by the weight of gilt

no future but death

as the result of God’s work in creating man.

The Sinner’s Need of Christ

It is impossible for us, of ourselves, to escape from the pit of sin in which we are sunken. Our hearts are evil, and we cannot change them.

Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

In other words, unless he or she receives a new heart, desires, purposes and motives, all leading to a new life, they cannot see the kingdom of God. There must be a power working from within, a new life from above, before men can be changed from sin to holiness. That power is Christ.

Those who have experienced the love of Christ cannot be idlers in the Master’s vineyard. They will see opportunities for helping others in their steps to Christ. Partaking of Christ’s love, they will labor for the souls of others. Let every soul copy the Pattern, and become missionaries in the highest sense, winning souls to Jesus.

May we all Repent, Confess, Grow up into Christ, and Rejoice in the Lord.

Gap Schemes vs. Tight Fronts, Play Action Shots and Misdirection

This past weekend really ramped up in college football as the country moves towards having all the major conferences back on the field.  It’s great to see the SEC back in full swing.  A few concepts are trending already, and those are applicable at every level.

Defensively, the Tight front can be seen in almost every game and has proven to be successful against inside zone teams.  Ole Miss and DJ Durkin leaned on it to try to stop Alabama’s high powered offense.  Notably many of the big plays were a gap scheme (power, counter, and pin and pull) with linemen blocking down on those 4i’s that give zone concepts trouble.  Several of Bama’s big runs were gap scheme variations with a kick out and a wrap through.  There’s definitely a lesson to be learned there in how to defeat the Tight front.

Bama Pin Pull

Misdirection created by sweep motion is another big trend in 2020.  Having a sweeper running with speed at the snap of the ball to threaten the flanks slows both the squeeze of edge defenders as well as the safeties getting down inside quickly to the run fit.

null

Play Action Passes created some of the biggest plays across both college football and the NFL.  In an era dominated by RPO concepts, the play action pass is making a huge comeback.  The RPO is nice to attack with a quicker hitting pass off a defender, but the play action done right can severely stress the secondary and open up the field for huge chunks of yardage.

null

The thing I love about Coach Tube is the depth of the resources available to be able to make adjustments to your offense or defense even in-season.

As mentioned, the Tight front has really been helping defenses shutdown the run while allowing for defenders to take away the pass because it’s designed to spill runners to your athletes outside. It allows for less in the box which can help keep second level defenders out of conflict.

Add Odd Fronts to Your Even Scheme

Most odd front teams have it, but you can do things right now to make some of these front adjustments to your even front scheme.  Jeff Dittman, DC at RPI, made that change in season last year and it paid dividends.  He explains it in this course. Three Down Change Ups to Your Four Down Front

Tight Front to Defend Gap Schemes

Baylor Head Coach Dave Aranda, wasn’t shy about using the tight front when he was at LSU and was well aware that gaps schemes could be used as mentioned to give his defense a problem.  One of the games brightest defensive minds, he has the answers and he shared those in his course Defending the Spread Offense. He covers his adjustments to stopping the pin and pull (buck sweep) and counter.

Gap Schemes

Gap schemes, especially Counter, allow an offense to attack multiple fronts and that’s what Reedley College head coach/offensive coordinator Eric Marty does in his offense.  Using his TE as the second puller, Marty covers the details of the play vs. every front in this course.

Pin and Pull,  or Buck Sweep as many coaches refer to it is another way to attack multiple fronts including the Tight Front.  Central Michigan Offensive Line Coach Mike Cummings loves the pin and pull.  He explains the two basic rules of the down blocker (pin blocks) and the pullers, shares drills as well as illustrates with game film.

Play Action to Get Big Gains

Big chunks of yardage and touchdowns are the benefits of a good Play Action Passing Game. Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator at DePauw University Brett Deitz has a high powered offense which utilizes play action as a way to get the ball down field and beat specific coverages.  He includes ideas on how they beat those coverages as well as what he likes in certain areas of the field like the Red Zone. He covers the details in his course Maximizing Play Action in a Balanced Offense.

Misdirection to Open Up Running Lanes

Misdirection can become a part of any type of offense by incorporating Fly Sweep (aka Jet), and who better to learn it from than Mark Speckman, the Godfather of the Fly Sweep offense and running backs coach at UC-Davis.  Details are the key to making it work either under center and the gun and no one knows it better than Coach Speckman.

Lamar Jackson - Dual Threat

Lastly, I can’t leave without mentioning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson and the Ravens continued offensive dominance built off of his abilities.  Former NFL offensive line coach Paul Alexander explains how the Ravens use their PISTOL formation featuring their DUAL THREAT QB and how their creative formations and innovative schemes led to their success. He covers the philosophy, strategy to outnumber, outflank, and eliminate safety force as well as their run game variations like power, duo, zone, and QB options. Get it here: Ravens Pistol Run Game.

Here’s a short video explaining the philosophy from Coach Alexander

I promise you, these resources provide a ton of value in each of those areas.  The only way to get better as a coach is to become a student of the game, and right now Coach Tube resources are second to none.

How do Fat girls Avoid Inferiority and Maintain Self-confidence? and Australian Powerlifter & Nurse Paige Mills | Training Motivation

 Note from Coach Nate:

While the following article is helpful to all of us, not just women dealing with body-image issues, I do not agree with the wording of the title. Although by publisher agreement, I can not change the title, please do not let that sway you from reading further as the  author does an otherwise great job in addressing this issue.

-Coach Nate

  • Author Cana Deen

Now we are generally pursuing the state of being thin and beautiful. Thin people have certain advantages in many things. For example, thin people have more choices in clothes. The aesthetic trends of the society and the inconvenience have made many fat girls become less and less self-confident, and even shrink in a corner to protect themselves. In fact, today’s social aesthetic is relatively deformed, because some people pursue the beauty of thin blindly. It seems that the thinner a girl is, the more beautiful she will be. Girls who are slightly plump or obese are not worthy of walking on the street. This kind of deformed aesthetics is actually perverted. Many girls go on a diet to lose weight, just to become thinner. To put it bluntly, it’s a prejudice against the body of fat girls. In fact, fat girls also have many beauties, but some people’s aesthetics do not understand the beauty of these girls. In this world, it is not only thin people who are worthy of praise, fat girls can still live well. To improve self-confidence, you must first explore the shining points, don’t pay attention to the opinions of individual people, and improve yourself. So in the face of appearance problems, how should fat girls stay confident? (Continued below...........)

  1. (.......Continued........)Explore your own advantages

Not all men like the girls with same style. Although you may not be satisfied with your appearance, you may be a kind and lovely person. You should always discover more of your strengths and get to know yourself better. Don’t feel that obesity is your fault just because of some people’s gossips. In fact, it’s not a mistake to look at a person’s body. But fat girls can also improve their health through their own reasonable diet and more exercise. The beauty of health is the best. Therefore, you must not be presumptuous, even if you are a little bit fatter. You should believe that people are the same. You can’t deny yourself, don’t look down on yourself because of others’ opinions. If you look at your strengths, you’ll find that you’re really great.

  1. Make more friends and take part in outdoor activities often

Don’t generalize. Everyone is unique and you need to be sure of yourself. Appearance is not all of a person; it’s just a part of it. Everyone has his own unique quality and personality. Maybe you are born to be fat or become fatter than others in the acquired environment; you should not deny yourself completely because of this aspect. Fat girls should not be afraid of what others think of you, you should go out of the house bravely and make more friends. Many like-minded friends, whether of the opposite sex, or girlfriends, as long as you get along well with each other, you should play together. All kinds of outdoor sports, such as mountaineering, wading, square fitness, etc., are the most exercised activities, which are very beneficial to the cultivation of interpersonal skills and the enhancement of your social adaptability. (If you have a job, communicate with your colleagues more often.)

  1. Participate in various public welfare activities to cultivate confidence

Everyone has love, especially the fat girls. We suggest that fat girls can take part in more public welfare activities and volunteer activities, such as volunteer work, voluntary labor in welfare homes and nursing homes, and offer their love and receive praise from others. Isn’t it very happy? And through participating in public welfare activities, you can further cultivate your ability to devote yourself to the society and serve the society. And you will gradually cultivate a high degree of confidence, so that you can gradually get rid of the inferiority complex in my heart.

  1. Challenge more and strengthen your sense of accomplishment

Some fat girls lack self-confidence; they will close themselves in a small space and are unwilling to communicate with others. But if you take part in more challenges, you will find that many fat girls are actually very confident. In their hearts, they think they are the most beautiful women; we call them ‘BBW’ which means ‘big beautiful women’, and this kind of girl is really beautiful. Also you can find lots of big beautiful women on BBW hookup sites. When something needs you to pay a lot or seems impossible to achieve, once you accomplish it, you will have a great sense of accomplishment. Slowly, your self-confidence grows stronger invisibly. So we usually need to do more things and challenge ourselves.

Developmental Disorders and Vaccines 101 (Vanquishing the “Vaccinati” with Veracity)

  • Author Alice Abler

In 2007 the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimated that 1 in 150 eight-year-old children in the United States has an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This shocking life and health statistic spurred a barrage of debates: are the elevated numbers simply the result of improved diagnosis or is something else"perhaps something society is doing"causing an increase in ASDs?

Get the Truth About Vaccines Before It's Too Late!

Autism spectrum disorders are listed as "pervasive developmental disorders" in a widely accepted authoritative reference tool, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (Text Revision), or DSM-IV-TR, published by the American Psychiatric Association. The causes of ASDs are undetermined, but evidence points to a strong genetic component.

Many parents and families of children with ASDs are looking beyond the genetics and are expressing grave concerns about a possible connection between immunization" in particular the standard combined measles, mumps and rubella vaccine that is routinely administered to children around the world" and autism. The main ingredient in question is thimerosal (called thiomersal in some countries), a preservative that is 49 percent ethylmercury.

Not all vaccines under debate incorporate thimerosal, which has now been phased out of most childhood vaccines. It remains in many influenza vaccines, however. The CDC maintains that "there is no convincing evidence of harm caused by the low doses of thimerosal in vaccines, except for minor reactions." Even so, the number of people claiming to have been harmed by vaccinations prompted the U.S. Court of Federal Claims to establish the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program "as a no-fault compensation scheme whereby persons allegedly suffering injury or death as a result of the administration of certain compulsory childhood vaccines may petition the federal government for monetary damages." As of June 2007, about 5,000 claimants with autism or similar conditions have filed for compensation.

Although long-term studies on the subject are ongoing, the official stance of government organizations in many countries is that there is no connection between vaccinations and autism. The World Health Organization states that "there is no reason on grounds of safety to change current immunization practices with thiomersal-containing vaccines, as the risks are unproven." The position of the U.S. National Institute of Child Health and Human Development is similar: "To date there is no definite, scientific proof that any vaccine or combination of vaccines can cause autism."

Like ASD, the causes of schizophrenia, another mental disorder listed in the DSM-IV-TR, are undetermined, but evidence points to a strong genetic connection. This is largely based on studies of siblings and twins, particularly monozygotic (genetically identical) twins. When one twin develops schizophrenia, the other has a 50 percent likelihood of developing the disorder as well. An important factor that seems to be overlooked in some studies is that two-thirds of monozygotic twins share more than genetics: their shared placenta is a strong environmental factor.

This environmental link is reinforced by recent research, which shows a strong connection between maternal infections (especially influenza) during the first half of pregnancy and increased risk of schizophrenia in the fetus. The infected mother’s immune system releases special proteins to fight the infection, and these cytokines (specifically interleukin-6) may have a negative effect on the neurological development of the unborn child.

At least one scientist has taken this concept further. Paul Patterson, professor of biology at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and research professor at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, studies the relation of maternal infections to both autism and schizophrenia. In a 2005 lecture at Caltech, Patterson quoted the CDC’s recommendation that pregnant women should routinely get flu shots. At first glance, the recommendation may seem sensible, as pregnant women would want to avoid getting influenza, which could cause their immune systems to impair the developing minds of their unborn children. But then comes the zinger: "And what does a vaccination do? It activates the immune system. That’s the point of vaccination."

This is a perplexing conundrum. The very thing that some recommend to prevent problems could actually be causing mental disorders in the unborn child.

Patterson concluded, "In practice, not all pregnant women receive flu shots, and I think that universal vaccination of pregnant women could get us into a whole new set of problems. I’m hoping, therefore, that a way will be found to intervene somehow and repair the damage or reregulate the immune system." Of course, the CDC still recommends that pregnant women be vaccinated against influenza. Less invasive precautions include frequent hand washing with soap and water and avoidance of those who are ill. It is important for the life and health of all, born and unborn, to practice good hygiene and cleanliness, to cough and sneeze away from others into a disposable tissue or at least into the upper arm, and to follow the principles of quarantine.

Although modern medicine has made great strides in many areas, we still have many social issues and much to learn about the connections between body and mind, and even more about the connections between maternal body and fetal mind.

A Failure to Lead and Suspect Throws Torch into Seattle Police Car With an Officer inside Presented by Tactical P.E.

 -Author Christopher Anderson

A Failure to Lead

On the anniversary of the birth of this nation, July 4th 2020, the Columbus statue was torn down by violent protesters & thrown into the Baltimore's harbor. While some are glad it's gone, many are outraged,. (Continued below..........)

** (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) ** Seattle, Washington State — The Seattle Police Department (SPD) has released body-worn, dashcam, and surveillance video from the ongoing investigation into the Thursday officer-involved shooting in South Lake Union. (..........Continued......) Since this act occurred on Independence Day, I thought of Frederick Douglass & wondered how a man of the 19th Century, a former slave, might have responded. In a speech he gave in New York on July 5th, 1852, Douglass spoke on the topic, "What to a slave is the Fourth of July?"

At the time he spoke, slave states were an ugly, sinful fact in the southern United States. African-Americans were not free in 1776; none could vote, many were enslaved. Douglass understood that our emotional feeling toward "independence" was very likely a reflection of how one's ancestors were treated at the time America gained its freedom. Some regard the discovery of this country and the astounding advancements that would come over the next 500 years with pride; others could only note that the path to liberty did not end in 1776, 1865, or even with the passage of the Civil Rights Acts in the mid-1960s.

Baltimore officials should have known Columbus would be a target and taken steps before the protest took place. It's failure to do so (indeed, its entire failure to keep the peace) was an epic failure in leadership.

Some had called upon Governor Hogan to protect this statue because of the recent heightened tensions. Others had & some have asked for its removal before now. Mayor Young did nothing to address these requests. City Council President Brandon Scott, now a mayoral candidate, said he supports the Italian-American community but can't support Columbus. He didn't explain how allowing a violent mob to enter Little Italy to destroy a landmark of Italian heritage "supported" the Italian-America community.

These reckless acts of omission by elected leaders...of not even bothering to show up...of giving the streets up to violence... are unacceptable. They show a disregard not only for all the citizens of Baltimore but for the rule of law. This city of ours is afflicted by corrupt one-party rule. Instead of showing maturity and judgment, our elected "leaders" took the easy road and allowed the mob to rule the day. They were afflicted by how Douglass felt in his day instead of being public officials with power to prevent such things occuring today, they acted powerless.

With leadership like this, Baltimore can expect to be home to the next CHAZ zone, something this city cannot afford on top of its already historic crime rate.

It's time we elect new leadership in Baltimore that will govern by the people & for all the people. There are positive things we can do about inequality when you govern properly & it's not by giving power away or not leading at all.

The Rock Almighty Devotional Praise, and Worship with Jerusalem & Spiritual Warfare Prayers

  • Author D. Vincent Bud Ford

Spiritual warfare prayers are more important now than they ever were before. What do you think of when you hear the phrase "spiritual warfare"? If you have images of the latest supernatural Hollywood blockbuster on the brain, you might want to reconsider. Unfortunately, it seems that the subject of spiritual warfare has two main camps, those who do not believe in it at all and those who see demonic activity in every aspect of life. Both of these camps are reluctant to talk about the subject albeit for vastly different reasons.

Biblical Concept

The truth is if you are going to believe in God, the Bible is your guidance system. It is this authority you should turn to for more information on the subject. The Bible clearly states that Satan and demonic activity are a reality. It is not presented in some spooky, hocus pocus sense but matter of factly. The truth is, if you are going to take any part of the Bible as fact, then you must accept the entire writing, which includes the presence of demons, Satan, possession and spiritual warfare.

Do Not Fear

In the Bible the phrase "do not fear" is repeated several times, even when it comes to the activities of dark spirits. Jesus has overcome the power of darkness and indeed the entire world; so as a Christian, there is little to worry about. The problem is, many Christians do not understand their place, especially as it relates to spiritual warfare.

Jesus came to the world to save it, and upon his death He took the keys of death, hell and the grave. He ascended to Heaven where he is seated at the right hand of God; as believers, we are united with Him, far above demonic activity.

Prayer

Spiritual warfare will not be fought with weapons made of human hands. Instead, it will be waged in prayer by believers and with the believers on their knees. Christians do not fight against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places, Ephesians 6:12. When the disciples asked Jesus how they were to pray, the answer He gave was The Lord's Prayer, which is key when it comes to spiritual warfare.

One thing you should know about prayer in general and not just as it pertains to spiritual warfare; it needs to be fervent and continuous in nature. Take the example of Christ in the garden just before he was to be taken and crucified. Jesus prayed until his sweat was as droplets of blood! This would be the very definition of fervent and intense prayer.

Conclusion

Spiritual warfare is not a new age concept. It was dealt with in the biblical text at some length. Jesus dealt with the man who was demon possessed from the area of Gadarenes. Even his disciples talked about those demons they could not cast out and He replied to them that some would not be moved accept through prayer and fasting! Dealing with Satan and his horde is not fairy tale fodder; it is a fact of the world you live in.

There is Practical Spiritual Warfare which all of us deal with each and every day; it shows up in the simple, everyday happenings of life. The important thing to remember is not to overplay or underplay its significance in your life of as a Christian and to fervently pray. Satan and his demons must flee at the name of Jesus Christ.
