Cultural Medicine Distracts from National Health Literacy Presented on US Sports Net by The Truth About Cancer

Cultural Medicine Distracts from National Health Literacy

Author Dee Richards

Traveling in other countries offers many unique experiences. Yet, at some point in the day, you will take a break from your cultural extravaganza. Resting, you may still wish to continue absorbing some foreign culture, working to assure that you increasingly understand the nuances your experience. Television with subtitles in English is a great tool with which to continue to see images, hear the original language, and read translations. Some systems are better than others regarding the speed and quality of translations. However, making the effort to take on the foreign environment while engaging considerable effort honing your language skills takes you closer to a native experience and is appreciated by the local population. Taking personal responsibility for such learning is simply a laudable attitude versus that of expecting all around you to translate everything for you. (Continued below..............)

At The Truth About Cancer, we are most frequently asked these three questions:
1. How do I prevent cancer?
2. How do I know if I have cancer?
3. How do I beat cancer?
Dr. Leigh Erin Connealy enlightens us on a modern approach to medicine that easily answers these questions for anyone. By utilizing integrative medicine and targeted cancer testing, doctors like Dr. Connealy are able to spend less time doing guesswork and more time addressing the root health issues.
(.....Continued....)If rather than visiting, you have moved to a foreign country for an extended period, if not emigrated, there are two primary questions to consider. For the country into which you have moved, do you contribute so much to their society that they should translate everything for you, or could you convince those who would pay for such services for you that there is sufficient ROI for them to do so? And, if such convincing arguments cannot be made, are you willing to engage in and pay for your own language and important cultural skills development?
Radio Bilingüe was the first Latino radio network in the United States. Enjoying twenty-four-hour daily programming, listeners across all elements of North America could learn about many issues, opportunities, products, and services deemed important for the diverse audiences targeted by the broadcaster. As a private corporation, it could also determine what content merited commercial support versus that which it could provide as public services. Radio Bilingüe (RB) persists and its audience may be as broad as its funding agents are numerous. Functioning in the U.S., a country with global economic outreach, it is clear that many of RB’s current funding sources see its listeners as potential customers, whether American citizens or foreign nationals. However, American taxpayer-sponsored investment should only fund the marketing of basic medical systems. The information should direct new and existing Latino citizens to work with local medical resources, and should also encourage audiences to develop enhanced English literacy to optimize utilization of available medical services.
No one would question the wisdom of a restaurant that does not attempt to be great in all things, for all possible patrons, including not creating menus in all dialects spoken around the world. But, maybe because state and federal budget debts are already so unfathomably large, proponents of "separate medical programs for everyone", as designer Cultural Medicine, do not see the costs of these programs as being real dollars or funding of such to be their responsibilities or concerns. Our national health care systems cannot be all-inclusive, international smorgasbords. Designer label, newly created, Cultural Medicine, would open the doors to everyone, suggesting that no individual proclivity, no imaginable service, no sense of entitlement, no group that can muster culture-oriented, no one that can muster media recognition should be without special service provision, regardless of costs. At least, such is what many would wish for and for which they would publicly demonstrate, so long as someone else pays for it.
As the national language is English, promote learning it, enhancing national literacy all around. Promote and invest in English-based Heath Literacy, not distracting Cultural Medicine.

Practical Personal Self-Defense Weapons and Sheriff Daniels speaks on who we are as a people

Practical Personal Self-Defense Weapons

Author George Babnick
"Woman attacked by stranger in parking lot"
"Officers investigating robbery in which a woman was punched and her purse was stolen"
"Man attacked while jogging"
Headlines like these make the news almost daily somewhere in the USA and in other countries. These cases are very real and the fear of being attacked by a stranger when you are just going about your daily business can also be very real.
https://60261t4pze3g0y4qo854l6osai.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=USSPORTSBLOG

Statistically, your chance of being attacked by a stranger in the United States is just somewhere around 1.3%. With these kind of odds, why should anyone take the time to prepare for something that will likely never occur? Answer: because it does occur daily and because it can occur to you! If you are not prepared, the consequences could be deadly.
But, if you take some common-sense precautions and have some ability to defend yourself, the odds that you will survive the attack physically unscathed dramatically increases. And, knowing that you can defend yourself against an attack gives you a sense of confidence and helps allay the palpable fear of being accosted.
Self-defense experts abound and a multitude of self-defense weapons exist. Many feel the best self-defense weapon is a concealed handgun. But not everyone has the ability or desire to carry a handgun and not everyone wants to invest the time to become proficient with it. And, sometimes a situation calls for a less lethal defense.
There are all kind of sharp knife-like objects that a person can carry in their hands to cut, stab, or dice an attacker. Some of these like the TigerLady Self Defense Claw and Kuba-Kickz are quite different. The TigerLady Claw gives you retractable claws like a lion so you can scratch and claw an assailant and the Kuba-Kickz are spikes you can put on your shoes so you can kick the crap out of your assailant’s shins. The manufacturer claims the shoe spikes are "devastatingly effective."
All of these defensive tools have two common drawbacks:
Most of the time they will not be quickly accessible if you are suddenly attacked (who is really going to walk around always carrying one of these tools in their hands) and they require close-up face-to-face interaction with the attacker. If someone has grabbed you and you happen to have one of these sharp-angled tools in your hand – great. Use it with no mercy to slash, claw, and stab your intruder until you repel them.
Situational Awareness
The best option and your first level of defense should always be to make a conscious effort to avoid a potentially hazardous situation if at all possible. Constantly being aware of your surroundings and consciously, as a matter of habit, avoiding locations and situations that make you feel queasy or situations that just don’t seem right is always best.
DISTANCE = SAFETY
Not all situations can be avoided by heightened situational awareness. Sometimes things just happen. If you should be accosted by someone intent on doing you harm, you can benefit from a self-defense weapon that you can deploy from a distance. This is especially true if you have invested even a modicum of time and effort in familiarizing yourself with the weapon.
If at all possible avoid going "hands-on" with a potential attacker and if you are attacked, try to put at least a few feet of distance between you and the attacker. One of the first tenants of self-defense training is that DISTANCE = SAFETY. The farther away you can get from the assailant the harder it is for the assailant to hurt you. Even getting a few feet away from an attacker is advantageous.
Three self-defense tools that can be used at a stand-off distance are the extendable baton, pepper spray, and Fast Strike – a metal whip like device.
Extendable Baton:
The extendable or collapsible baton goes by several brand names but all consist of a telescoping metal rod that you can use to strike your attacker. One of the advantages is that it collapses into a 6-8" length and can be used close in, or with a good swing can reach out and touch someone several feet away. The collapsible baton offers reasonable concealability and can be carried in many pant or coat pockets.
In real life situations it can be quite effective. The effectiveness of a baton depends largely on how hard you strike the person, the location where you hit the person (arms, shoulder, head, etc.) and the rapidity of your strikes. Swift, multiple strikes, continuing until the attacker stops attacking is recommended.
Pepper Spray:
Personal defense pepper sprays (also known as capsicum spray) come in many sizes, canisters, and potency. Police and security personnel have used law enforcement potency pepper spray in real life situations with mixed results. While it can sometimes be better than nothing, it has many tactical considerations. Depending on the wind direction, you might just end up getting a cloud of pepper in your face, effectively disabling yourself. In a stressful situation it is also often difficult to hit a small, sometimes erratically moving target.
The Journal Police Practice and Research recently published a comprehensive study on the effectiveness of pepper spray and concluded that it was a "suitable tool for handling low threat situations" but was not suitable for "high threat situations." You might just be better off throwing the pepper spray canister at the attacker’s face and making a run for it.
A new pepper spray product called The Defender claims to "Bridge the gap between technology and personal safety." This pepper spray canister contains a camera and a siren. When you spray the attacker, it takes a picture and emits a siren to draw attention, and hopefully scare away the attacker. It also transmits the photo to the company so law enforcement can later view the photo. And, upon activating the spray, your GPS location is automatically transmitted to the company which offers 24/7 monitoring, and the company can then report your location to local law enforcement. Whether The Defender lives up to it’s potential is unknown, but the merging of technology with old-fashioned pepper spray is intriguing.
Metal Whip:
Another intriguing self-defense tool is a hand held flexible "rope-like" metal rod that you can use to strike an assailant in a whipping or swatting motion. This tool gives you about 15" of striking distance and like with a baton, if you get a good swing, you can reach out and touch the assailant from a distance.
The Fast Strike is definitely better than having to try and use your bare hands to fend off an attacker, but carrying it requires you to put it down you pant leg or loop it around your waist or belt. This might work for some but presents definite carry limitations.
Because it’s relatively new the effectiveness in real life situations compared to pepper spray and the collapsible baton, is unknown. From watching the manufacturers YouTube video, it sure looks like this tool could put a real hurt on an assailant.
Are you prepared to defend yourself from an attacker? If not – get prepared! And, get prepared today!
There are many self-defense tools available that will give you a fighting chance if you are attacked. But, for any of them to work you need to become familiar with them, practice with them, and have them quickly accessible should the need arise.

Banishing Strife from Our Life

From CDM

It’s impossible to live without coming into contact with people during our daily routines. Some individuals are easy to deal with. Others have emotional issues that threaten to reach out and trap us in strife, making us miserable. However, being in strife with anyone isn’t God’s will for us.
Strife is defined as discord, antagonism, or vigorous and bitter conflict that leaves behind lingering anger and bad feelings. It’s a demonic spirit that’s determined to destroy us and block the flow of God’s grace into our lives. It divides people, and comes straight from the enemy, a thief who intends to kill, steal, and destroy the abundant life God wants us to enjoy.
Strife breeds other emotions like jealousy and envy. These feelings cause intense emotional pain; allowing them to influence us moves us away from God’s plan for our lives. Wherever jealousy and envy are, there’s confusion and every evil work. We need to guard against this, because God isn’t the author of confusion, but of peace.
Succumbing to strife puts us in an adversarial position with others. We fight this mindset by remembering that our real enemies aren’t other people, but the devil. We’re engaged in spiritual warfare. We’re not fighting against flesh and blood, but against the rulers of the darkness of the world, against spiritual wickedness.
To win this battle, we must focus our aggression on the spiritual, not the physical, level. The weapons of our warfare aren’t carnal, but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds. We effectively shut down strife and render Satan defenseless when we begin walking in love, which doesn’t envy, isn’t provoked, thinks no evil, and never fails.
Operating in the grace and love of Jesus Christ gives us the advantage over the devil’s sneaky emotional attacks. Jesus has already won the battle against the enemy; we share in this victory through faith in Him. Strife can’t touch us when we let Christ, not the world, guide our emotions.
Prayer:
Lord, You gave us specific strategies to win over strife and protect our peace of mind from the enemy. Your Word tells us the danger signs to look for, gives us details on how to wage spiritual warfare, and provides insight on what we’re up against. Thank You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Supernatural Protection

by Creflo Dollar
Sometimes children who need protection from bullies find it by forming an alliance with someone stronger and more powerful than them. This gives them the security and the peace of mind knowing that if trouble comes their way, they can depend on that stronger person for safety. As adults, we face similar situations from time to time, only the stakes are higher. When scary things in life threaten us, we can always find supernatural protection in a God who loves us.
Trouble can come in many forms, but we always come out victorious when we depend on God. In the Old Testament, a young shepherd boy named David trusted God to take care of Goliath, a bully who made the Israelite soldiers cower in fear (1 Samuel 17:1-51). David made a name for himself after he slew the giant who threatened the children of Israel, but he was smart enough to realize that God was ultimately responsible for his victory. He had the wisdom to realize that no matter how big the problem looks, God is bigger.
David most likely felt some fear when he saw and heard this giant, but his faith was strong enough to propel him forward. He refused to give up or back down, even when others much bigger and stronger than him fled. We can have the same victory over the goliaths in our lives when we acknowledge and believe God’s promise of deliverance for those who trust Him. “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me” (Psalm 50:15). This is a straightforward promise that we can always count on in any situation. We simply have to remember to call on Him.
There are no guarantees in life; things can go well one day and downhill the next day. Like David, we’re wise when we realize we need an ally bigger than us. This ally is the Rock Himself, who stands ready to help. “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower” (Psalm 18:2).
There will always be situations we can’t handle on our own, and issues we have no control over. Even if we’re not facing threats from others at the moment, the news media is great at frightening others by reporting everything bad happening in the world. If we get caught up in something evil, we can call out to God for help with the full assurance that He always keeps His promise. “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles” (Psalm 34:17, NKJV). When we trust God more than ourselves, He’ll honor that trust; He’ll never let us down when we need Him.
If we get too involved in what’s going on around us, we can lose our focus on the only one who can help us when we get in trouble. Depending on our own strength or knowledge to keep us safe won’t get us very far, but God shields those who run to Him for protection. “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe” (Proverbs 18:10). God is greater than any tower built from solid rock. His strength can’t be overcome.

Chemical Warfare: Are We Slowly Being Poisoned By Those Whom We Trust Presented on US Sports Net By The Truth About Vaccines

  • Author Paula Rothstein
It was not until I became pregnant with my son that I began to scrutinize a world overrun with chemicals. I thought I would be done with the research portion of the program following a few hours on the internet one Saturday afternoon. Three years later, stacks of books, newspapers, magazines, countless hours following online leads, numerous conversations with environmental advocates, I am no closer to understanding chemical exposure but I have added reason to be concerned.
Environmental scientists have been sounding the alarm for years but not much is being done to stop the poisoning of our supply of food, air, and water. For every step forward we take, we slip back even further as thousands of new chemicals are introduced each year with almost no testing being done as to how these chemicals will react when combined together.
During this journey I have learned that it is not only the future at issue but where we are right now. Consider today's escalating disease statistics and if you delve just a little bit deeper than acknowledging sickness and disease is running our economy and our lives, you will see that chemicals and a varied mixture of chemicals are at the ship’s helm determining our course and will continue to do so long into the future.
When I learned that a vast majority are not similarly concerned at the daunting statistics associated with chemical exposure, it occurred to me that when evidence is unpleasant and would require too great an effort to change the outcome, one inevitably redefines what is normal. Apparently it is now normal to have bodies that deteriorate after death at a slower rate because of all the preservatives contained therein!
It is normal to have our infants and small children injected with dangerous chemicals, such as mercury, aluminum, MSG, and formaldehyde – chemicals linked to disorders ranging from brain and nerve damage to autism and attention deficit disorder – and call it vaccination from disease.
Apparently it is now normal to be surrounded by people with chronic ailments, drugging symptoms into submission until the next symptom emerges (as a side effect) and needs another drug to suppress that symptom. Conditions such as fibromyalgia, autoimmune disorders, multiple chemical sensitivities, osteoporosis, heart disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s Disease, ADD/HD, autism, brain tumors, crippling pain, not to mention frequent colds and viruses, strep throat, ear infections, and subsequent overuse of antibiotics and pharmaceutical drugs. I do not even work in an industry that is at high risk for chemical exposure but the topic of disease has now replaced “water cooler chatter”.
It is now normal to be young and yet have attended several funerals of friends who have died of cancer.
I began to study nutrition and supplementation like I have never studied it before – and I was no slacker during previous years. My son was not going to succumb to a life of ill health – not on my watch! And as I implemented my strategy I quickly learned that I did not have the support of my peers, medical advisors, corporate America, government, and certainly not the pharmaceutical drug industry which, of course, would prefer I use their method of immune support – vaccinations!
My desire to detoxify and arm the immune system was met with mockery from nearly everyone I encountered until I slipped slowly into the sub-subculture of natural health where I found acceptance, although there is always reason to disagree.
Some of the individuals I have come to admire most have been driven from the country and have opened clinics in Tijuana, Mexico, and some are merely isolated from their peers for practicing “quackery”. Numerous medical doctors have become licensed naturopathics just so they could drop ties to the pharmaceutical drug companies and actually help people get well. Others try to lead their patients to better health by carefully chosen words, trying to not upset the guarded mindset of those who need to believe they are not being poisoned by the food they eat, air they breathe, water they drink, and the very alluring appeal of consumerism which is cloaked in chemicals.
It occurred to me that I live in a country where the word “choice” is a battle cry from every corner, an undeniable right, and yet there is to be no choice when it involves caring for your health naturally. Your health insurance provider will not reimburse you for it, the pharmaceutical drug company will not tolerate it, and your doctor is not allowed to recommend it.
How is it we have come to this state of anti-choice when it involves our health? We have excellent doctors who now must practice medicine out of the country in sub-standard clinics and in turn will be criticized by the drug industry for practicing medicine in sub-standard conditions! The hypocrisy abounds.
We are now the guinea pigs in a grand experiment of chemicals, simmering in a pot of toxic soup just waiting to see who survives and what mutant species emerges strong enough to withstand the poison of our environment. Not only are we playing a nasty game of Russian roulette with ourselves as we accept each new chemical being released into the environment but we have absolutely no idea what happens when you mix certain chemicals together. More than 3,000 synthetic chemicals are regularly introduced to U.S. food products each year. Most have not been tested for their toxin producing effects in the human body. The EPA relies on safety data determined by the manufacturing company.
Now let’s consider the medical profession’s tool to help us deal with our toxic bodies shaking and burning with disease from all these chemicals. Synthetic drugs that are, once again, toxic to our systems. Consider this, seriously, when you observe pharmaceutical drugs being pulled from the market after years of approval, as was the case with Vioxx, a drug being used to treat arthritis responsible for causing thousands of individuals to experience strokes and heart attacks before the FDA finally stepped in and had the drug removed (the manufacturing company actually knew of the danger four years before it was officially pulled!); patients prescribed Propulsid for heartburn and also Rezulin for diabetes experienced intestinal damage, heart arrhythmia and liver toxicity; Mellaril – after five decades of use has been linked to heart damage; Posicor, a treatment for angina and hypertension interacted dangerously with 25 other medications; vaccines containing thimerosol have now been linked to neurological disorders (however, the drug companies denied the connection even while pulling the vaccines out of U.S. clinics and shipping to third world countries for distribution!). There are numerous similar reports. Please note, as dangerous as thimerosol is to our health, it is still being used in some vaccinations and you should always make sure your fu shot or vaccination does not contain this mercury-laden preservative.
So I ask you, why would you EVER trust the pharmaceutical drug company to treat your ill-health? Why would you trust ANY drug when you do not know which one will be later pulled following you dropping to the floor?
Considering the fact that the Journal of American Medical Association revealed 106,000 people die each year in American hospitals from the side effects of properly prescribed prescription medications, why would you not do everything in your power to stop drugging yourself and instead strengthen your immune system through natural means, buy organic food, supplement your diet, and avoid chemicals every single chance you get!
We need to stop and consider the consequences of a modern age constructed on the precept that life is better when created through chemistry. Perhaps we have been heading in the wrong direction for 100 years and now need to strip our belief system down to one that can lead us to a better quality of life. The first step: Denial of our chemically laden reality will need to be shed if we are to change this tragic course.
Imagine if for the past 100 years we had put the same sort of effort and financial resources into developing natural supplements, and studying health rather than disease intervention – instead of developing toxic drugs? Personal responsibility has never been more critical to our continued survival.
We have become so distracted by terrorism from outside forces, we did not even notice the dangers lurking right inside the borders of this country, legally operating and profiting from this new version of chemical warfare being waged on our society! As we are lulled into a false sense of security, adverse reactions to properly prescribed medications have become the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S.
Take a look at your own family and if you find that you are constantly dealing with sickness, begin the journey today to get well. It will not be found in a bottle of Robitusson, Tylenol, asthma inhaler, shot of insulin, blood pressure medication, etc. but in a radical change in your internal climate which can only be accomplished through restricting chemical exposure in your food, water and air; detoxification of the chemicals that are now currently making you sick; supplying your body with the nutrients necessary to thrive rather than just survive.
Paula Rothstein has been involved in the natural health industry for over 10 years with a specific emphasis on promoting products and introducing lifestyle changes which address chronic diseases relating to high levels of toxicity.

Best and Safest Strength Training for Young Athletes Presented on US Sports Net by BBcom

Best and Safest Strength Training for Young Athletes

  • Author Ron Stratten, M.S.
Growing young talent is a delicate and risky challenge. Strength training for young athletes must be approached with caution. Parents often push their children who play on sports-specific travel squads toward weight training or, for some, personal trainers. But, what works best and what method is safest? Because the legs are the foundation for almost every outstanding performance, the focus should be on building leg strength, speed, agility and coordination in a youngster whose muscles and body are still developing. (continued below.....)

This chest workout from Abel Albonetti can be done anywhere. He won't be using any machines or free weights, but will instead only use resistance bands and body weight.
► Abel Albonetti's Maximum Muscle Training Program: https://bbcom.me/3eQP2bq
► Shop Resistance Bands: https://bbcom.me/3eR2njR
► Shop Bodybuilding Signature Supplements: https://bbcom.me/2VztFUi
...(continued) Unfortunately, there has been no one approach that has proven effective and safe. For many years young athletes have looked for a simple way to build leg strength and speed by using ankle weights, resistance bands or weighted vests and time spent in the weight room with barbells and dumbbells. These solutions are cumbersome and often harmful.
A popular misconception has been that more is better. Adding more weight means more strength, more repetitions mean more speed. But more can mean problems for young bodies. Young athletes are developing at different rates and must be dealt with individually. Light to moderate weighted insoles can be an excellent answer for building young athletes' lower body strength, speed and coordination. The weight can increase as the athlete's body matures. Moreover, placing the weight below the body's weight prevents the harmful injuries caused by carrying it above young joints and allows the athlete to maintain a normal stride. Whether the athlete is playing football, volleyball, basketball, or soccer, or participating in track and field, speed, agility and the same overall athleticism are the qualities young athletes and their parents are seeking.
Weighted insoles allow the young athlete to play a specific sport while using them, unlike ankle weights resistance bands or weighted vests, which must be removed during practice or competition. In other words, you can take the weight room to the field or court!
Weighted insoles can be safer than other weight training approaches for young legs. Look for insoles that are light enough to accommodate younger athletes eleven or twelve years and up. Six ounces seem to work well with undeveloped beginners. As the young athlete practices and develops more skills and as the body matures, he or she can move up to the eight-ounce insole. Many companies recommend heavier weight to build strength faster. Unfortunately, maintaining a normal stride length (important for safe training) with more weight can be difficult. A well planned workout with age-appropriate weights is a good basis for strength training, just don’t go overboard!
Look also, for a tool that can stabilize the heel and ankle area. Early shoe choices are very important to parents wishing to insure the healthy participation of their child in the sport of their choice. The shoe companies oftentimes put their emphasis on the upper part of the shoe and neglect the part of shoe that has the most direct contact with the athlete: the shoe's liner or insole. Choose a weighted insole that is comfortable and focuses on foot and ankle safety by stabilizing the heel with a deep heel cup. The deep heel cup prevents the foot from sliding inside the shoe, which creates an unstable foundation for the athlete.
There is no quick and easy way to develop strength. Weighted insoles can make the journey safer, more convenient and more comfortable. Carrying a small amount of weight with every step can make a positive difference with each workout. They can be used in your favorite cross trainers, walking shoes or running shoes. Weighted insoles provide a training edge for any athlete who is striving to reach the next level safely!
Ronald Stratten is the Manager /Owner of StrataSoles Enterprises, LLC, and has served as NCAA Vice President for Education Services and former Portland State University Head Football Coach. StrataSoles Enterprises, LLC, is featuring the introduction of its weighted-insole system, The StrataSoles™ Training System.

Tactical P.E. on US Sports Net Presents: Hunting, Protecting and Collecting: All About Guns

  • Author Zac Hales
Under the Second Amendment to the Constitution, We as U.S. citizens have the right to bear arms. The Constitutional right to own and possess firearms is one that few countries have. Here in the U.S., we have more guns per person than any other country. Having the right doesn’t mean that everyone owns a gun; here are three reasons why people choose to purchase firearms.
https://60261t4pze3g0y4qo854l6osai.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=USSPORTSBLOG

Hunting: For as long as guns have been in existence they’ve been used for hunting. Firearms hold serious advantages over bows in terms of power and range. With a hunting rifle, a hunter can hit their target well beyond double the distance they could with a bow. In addition to the range advantage, it’s easier to obtain a kill shot with a rifle.
Collecting: Just about anything can be collected, and guns are no exception. Each gun collector collects for a different reason. Some collectors focus on historical firearms. Others, own modern guns of varying types and calibers. Still, other collectors take an interest in the evolution of guns and own both historical and modern firearms.
Protection: You don’t need to watch the news to know that we live in a dangerous world. Many gun owners purchase firearms for self-defense. It’s not uncommon for U.S. citizens to keep guns in their homes for home protection. Every day, more and more people are taking classes and obtaining concealed firearm licenses. Though no one ever wants to be in a situation where they have to pull a gun, many would agree that it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Whatever your reasons for buying guns, they have to come from somewhere. In addition to buying retail goods and groceries online, today’s world also allows for online purchases of firearms. When purchasing guns online, be careful in selecting the merchant using only reputable websites.
Unlike other products, firearms that are purchased online can’t be shipped directly to your door. Instead, guns are sent to a Federal Firearm License (FFL) dealer of your choosing. Once the FFL dealer has received your gun, you can pick it up at their store after completing the necessary background check.

Purchasing firearms online is often a great way to find deals and save money. Using the internet to buy guns also broadens the selection that is available to you. Before buying guns online, do your research on the dealer and ultimately, use your best judgment.
If you are looking to purchase a firearm in the State of Kentucky checks out Bragg About it Guns and Ammo. Their Kentucky Gun Shop is family owned and offer a wide range of rifles and shotguns in Harrodsburg.

Trusting Money vs. Trusting God

From CDM

Money is something we can all relate to, and it’s a basic necessity in life. The world tells us that the more of it we have, the better our lives will be. However, this message traps us into chasing after wealth while becoming progressively more miserable and unhappy. When it comes down to the basics, we must decide whether to trust in money or in God.

We’ve all had situations when we heard clear directions from God after praying about an issue we were struggling with. We may have wondered where the money would come from to put things in motion, and pulled back in fear when we didn’t see it immediately forthcoming. However, God never tells us to do something without providing the means to succeed in it. He supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Hearing from God requires that we step out in faith, even when it looks like the money just isn’t there. We mustn’t be fooled; His grace has made available to us everything we need in life—including physical wealth. Believing this positions us to receive from Him. Out of God’s abundance we’ve all been supplied with one grace after another, and gift heaped upon gift.
Abraham, known for his great faith, trusted whatever God told him; he ultimately became very rich in cattle, silver, and gold. Conversely, when Jesus had the conversation with the rich young ruler, the young man’s response to Jesus indicated that he trusted more in his wealth than in God. There’s nothing wrong with having money, but loving it more than God leads to great sorrow.
God wants to bless us, financially as well as in all other areas. Our faith in this brings forth manifestations of the riches of His grace. Relying on Him makes us rich in peace, joy, and everything else that makes life worth living.
Prayer:
Lord, You gave us biblical instructions on how to handle money and maintain a right relationship with it because You know how greatly it can influence us. We can trust in You, and not in unreliable worldly possessions, to give us exactly what we need for an abundant, prosperous life. Thank You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
