Training a Golfer Using the TPI Template

Bruce Kelly
A while back I wrote an article for the website on the TPI Level 1 certification and how worthwhile I thought it was especially if you were in the golfers' market or wanted to be in that market. Titlelist has huge name recognition in the golfing community amongst the general recreational golfer as well as teaching professionals.
So for the last 6 months I have been putting the TPI methods to use with golfers and in this article I will talk about and detail some of the programming we did with a local PGA teaching professional to get his body up to par (pun intended!) with his golf swing.
When this teaching professional came to us, he had a host of issues which were apparent even before we did the initial assessment. Poor posture, needed to lose some weight, hitch in his gitty-up (gait issues), and lack of energy to name a few.
As Ray Mac asked on the forum, this particular teaching pro is in his mid-40's with 3 young kids, a dog and the whole picket fence thing. In other words, a typical golf client. Initial Assessment
The basic TPI assessment which consists of 13 tests revealed more detail on some of these issues.
• He had poor pelvic control as indicated by the pelvic tilt test and the pelvic rotation test
• Poor thoracic extension and ankle dorsi-flexion as indicated by the overhead squat test(same test as in the FMS)
• Poor hip hinging and compromised hamstring length as indicated by the toe touch test (both sides were compromised)
• His balance was not optimal as indicated by single leg balance test
• He had weak glutes as indicated by the single leg hip bridge test
In our other tests/assessments, he had above average aerobic fitness but needed more upper body strength as his pushup and inverted row numbers were not up to snuff. He also fell short on our side plank testing so needed some help in that area as well. Get more golf strength and conditioning tips, programs, videos and more! Join StrengthCoach.com today!

8 Tips From Sean

Ok BodyRockers, I wrote this for all of y’all that watch me in my Lives on Facebook. Maybe you missed what I was saying or maybe you just want to print this out and keep it in your wallet, next to a photo of me. lol
Ok, jokes aside: The choices you make add up big time when it comes to shedding body fat. Here are some tips I follow, and ones I want you to think about as well.

1. Be Realistic About Your Expectations.

Getting into the the mindset of weight loss or getting fit takes time. Patience is the key. If you have this mindset it will minimize disappointment of those times where you feel you’re not making progress. Stop thinking about one month from now, think about 6 months from now and you will have way more success.

2. The Quick Fix…Doesn’t Exist.

You need to form your new eating habits into a lifestyle. This also takes patience and time. If you can, get to the point where your new eating habits become second nature.

3. Don’t Try To Change Everything at Once.

You may or may not have different habits to change. Pick one or two habits you would like to change each week and master those. For example, that could be switching drinking pop to a litre of water every day. This may seem like a small change but it’s a HUGE change to your daily habits. Taking on too much at one time can lead to frustration and ultimately failure.

4. Don’t Focus On The Numbers.

How do you FEEL? Recognize your feelings and how good you feel after you made changes for the better. Focus on how do you feel after you have completed a good sweat session. How do you feel after drinking 1L of water instead of pop? How do you feel after switching frozen pizza with homemade chicken and salad?

5. Lose The JUNK.

Yes I said it – do a cabinet cleanse! There is no ifs, ands, or butts. Go you kitchen, get out your garbage can, and throw in all the cookies, white bread, chips, crackers, ice cream, candy, and the pop. Throw it out because the world does not need this stuff and it is making us sick.

6. Eat Whole Foods!

Feel fuller faster. Whole grains, fibre and protein! So if you feel sluggish after eating, that’s because you are eating junk. You shouldn’t feel sleepy or just brain dead. You should feel light and ready to take on a workout after just an hour or two of eating. Most people eat stuff that zaps their energy, but think of food as fuel, not as something that ways you down. Salad, chicken, fish, brown rice (in small amounts), sprouting breads, fruits, vegetables….try to focus on foods that don’t need to be cooked, like salads and cut up fruit!

7. Watch The Serving Size!

Size down your servings! How much you eat is just as important as what you eat! Portions portions portions. You shouldn’t be eating more than 500 calories in one serving, which will fill you up if you are eating the right foods.

8. Cheat Day!

Enjoy it. Enjoy your favorite cheat meals! Wing day is pretty awesome. But remember that it comes around ONCE a week, and you should limit it to one or two meals. Don’t eat crap all weekend and just call it a cheat weekend. If you are serious about staying healthy, it’s called a Cheat Day for a reason!

I hope you enjoy that, and if you did, join me on Facebook every day. I’m there at 1pm EST (New York City time) and I go through your questions and often I show you some moves. Here’s my Live from today, in fact — watch this above!
And definitely take your health in your own hands. Like so many things in life, it won’t just happen out of nowhere — you need to work on it.

The Struggles of Praying Everyday: 3 Ways to Boost Your Prayer Life
By: Christov Bryant

In the past, have you ever found it difficult to pray every day? It is one struggle that nearly every person fights all of their lives. If it interests you to come closer to Christ by praying perpetually, I propose 3 ways to give you the means to pray constantly.

1. Put It On Your Planner

A very straightforward way to integrate praying along with your daily plan could be to set a particular time and place to do it each day. Give it a place on your agenda. Put it in your iPhone or Google Calendar and treat it like any other appointment that you regularly schedule. This helps to treat it like a extraordinary task to complete and not only a thought or idea in the recesses of your mind.

TWO: Include It Into Your Daily Life

It's a lot more painless to pray daily if it's not something outside of your schedule. In addition to putting it on your daily plan, placing your prayer in your day so that it is part of your day is an incredible tactic. This can help you to create a custom of praying each day.

Here is an example schedule: Awaken, clean up, get dressed, consume food, get to your job. A lot of people go through this pretty much every single day. They almost never jump over a part of the routine. It is because they have included these actions into their day-to-day and it has become a habit. This can be done with prayer just by including it into your daily life.

The same routine can be enhanced with prayer: Get up, take a bath, put on your clothes, pray, eat breakfast, get to your job. This will allow you to develop the habit using the routine that you have already established.
3) The Buddy Technique

Finally, it is always very helpful to hold yourself accountable to someone else. In fact, they might want use your help too! Therefore, seek out a friend and put down a prayer goal. You don't really have to pray together, though that is even more powerful. You merely should check in and make sure that the other is praying constantly.

These three tactics are proven to help Christians to pray everyday. If you integrate one of these techniques you will see a difference in your prayer life. If you integrate every one of them, you will be praying consistently for a long time. Think about adopting these tactics and today could be the beginning of an improved prayer life for you.

Bodycam Channel Featuring: Body Cam: Man Throws 4lb Wrench at Deputy, Get Fatally Shot. Presented by Tactical Workouts

PHOENIX --- Maricopa County Sheriff's Office --- Two officers who fatally shot a man after he threw a four-pound wrench at them had no choice about using deadly force, the sheriff of metro Phoenix said Wednesday.

Deputies had done all they could Friday to calm 39-year-old Juan Torres outside his family's home in suburban Buckeye, Sheriff Paul Penzone said. However, Torres refused to drop the wrench and a ball-peen hammer, and officers fired their guns after he hurled a wrench at one officer who ducked but was still struck in the back of his neck, the sheriff said. Just after midnight Saturday, two deputies are confronted by Juan Torres, 39, seen on body cameras with a hammer and a wrench. Torres is also overheard telling deputies to shoot him as his family pleads with him to put the tools down so he can get help. "My perspective on what I've seen here I think that the deputies were in a position where they had no other choice but to respond with deadly force and protect themselves," said Sheriff Paul Penzone. Sheriff Paul Penzone says the case is still under investigation but believes his deputies followed correct protocol, once Torres threw a four-pound wrench. "I need sheriffs out here now my brother is trying to hurt us I need sheriffs out here now," Vanessa Torres could be heard saying on the 911 call. "I was the one who made the 911 call," said Vanessa Torres, the victim's sister. Family members say they feel guilty. Even though deputies had been to their home before, this time they believe Torres was truly having a mental breakdown before deputies fired 11 gunshots. Torres was hit seven times. "Treated him like an animal, that's how you kill a bear or something, 10 shots, 11 shots that's not right," said Irma Torres, victim's sister. The father of Juan Torres says law enforcement as a whole needs more training for situations like the one his son died in. "My son didn't have to die, they killed him," said Ricardo Torres, victim's father. "We are not experts in all fields, we are experts in public safety, there are dynamics that are infused into public safety that continue to grow and expand and out deputies and officers throughout the community and throughout the nation are expected to all of a sudden address and handle all these things effectively, that's unrealistic," said Sheriff Penzone.
Sheriff Penzone says Torres had been contacted in the past by law enforcement 22 times, 12 times with deputies specifically. The Torres family plans to file a lawsuit against MCSO. My entire channel has been demonetized. 👮If ever you want to encourage me you could toss me a 1$ or 2$ or more one-time tip if you want at https://www.paypal.me/VideoLeakPolice .

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted” (Isaiah 53:4).

Joel Osteen Ministries Featuring: Jonathan Osteen - Abundantly Free

Would you describe yourself as partially free or abundantly free? In this message, be encouraged to stand firm in the freedom that Jesus died for you to have. Hold onto that promise by faith, begin to get in agreement with God. You do not have to settle for partial freedom--abundant freedom is yours in Jesus.

Divine Orchestration

Joel Osteen

A few days before Jesus was crucified, He was in the Garden of Gethsemane praying late one night. He was so overwhelmed with the weight of what He was about to do and under so much pressure that His sweat was like blood dropping to the ground. He said, "Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done" (Luke 22:42). We celebrate what Christ did on the cross, which is the foundation of our faith, but the real battle took place in the Garden. That's where He made the decision, "Even though this isn't fair, even though Judas is about to betray me, even though these people have no right to mock and ridicule Me and condemn Me to die on the cross, Father, I trust You. I know this is all a part of Your plan."

There are times when life is not fair, when people have come against us, when we're fighting an illness, when the business fails—that's when you have to do what Jesus did and say, "Father, this doesn't make sense to me, but I trust You. I know You're in control, and You wouldn't have allowed it if it wasn't going to work for my good." Don't get discouraged when you don't understand it. God is up to something.
The Scripture says, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord" (Psalm 37:23). It doesn't say He suggested them. No, God is strategic. Before you were formed in your mother's womb, He laid out a specific plan for you. Nothing happens randomly—not just the good breaks, the promotion, the times you see favor, but even the closed doors, the disappointments, and the betrayals are a part of God's plan. If you don't understand that, you'll be frustrated when things don't go your way, upset because somebody does you wrong, and bitter because the door closed. In reality, these were ordained by God as setups to move you up to a new level of your destiny.
They crucified Jesus and put Him in the grave. They thought He was done, but on the third day He came out and said, "I am alive forevermore!" God has the final say. He has you in the palms of His hands. You may not understand it, but He's already planned out your days. If you stay in faith, God is about to turn things to your advantage. It looks like a setback, but it's setting you up for breakthroughs, for promotion, for vindication, for healing, for the fullness of your destiny.

Streets Steal the Show From Sharks 52-41

Jacksonville looks to face (0-1) Columbus in Week 2
JACKSONVILLE – It was a hard fought, heavily rocked home opener for the Jacksonville Sharks who opened their 10th year as a franchise with a crowd drawing KISS night which featured a lights outs halftime performance by KISS America in tribute of one of America’s greatest rock bands KISS. The show tonight started off great for Jacksonville as they kicked off with an electrifying first drive which debut quarterback Jonathan Bane and wide receiver Jarmon Fortson as both Sharks connected on a 12 yard touchdown pass to open the night. The first half remained a close battle as both teams entered the locker room 30-21 game in favor of New York. In the second half the first-year team sparked a scoring streak against Jacksonville and the Sharks ran out of time to close the gap with a 41-52 loss to New York, who celebrates their first win in team history, as they entered the NAL last year and have begun their inaugural season.

Presented on US Sports Net By Chicago Steak Co.

Quarterback Jonathan Bane made his first start with the Sharks tonight where he debuted his gunslinger playing style to Sharks nation connecting with receivers Devin Wilson 11 times for 142 yards, Jarmon Fortson five times for 39 yards each of these players landed a touchdown. Fullback Alstevis “Squirrel”  Squirewell rushed three times for 13 yards and punched in a touchdown for the Sharks.
On defense the Sharks were able to limit the Streets in the first half and overall made major players to help launch a potential comeback as Jacksonville landed two sacks (Nick Woodman, Zach Brown), one interceptions by Robert Brown and one red zone fumble recovery by Markus Smith.
The Sharks will now face a road trip to NAL rival (0-1) Columbus Lions Friday, April 19 at 7pm at the Columbus Civic Center. Columbus fell to the Orlando Predators 40-42 in Orlando, FL tonight. To watch the Sharks face off against the Lions next saturday watch live right here on US Sports Network!

Lions Fall on The Roard 42-40

04/13/2019
Opening the season on the road is always tough. Saturday was just another reminder that a few plays here and there will change the game dramatically.
The 2019 season started off with a pick-six by the Orlando Predators to put the Lions down early.
While Luke Collis opened up the season with an interception, he bounced back strong throughout the game throwing for 5 touchdowns and rushing for another while also tacking on another interception. Bones Bagaunte was a headache for the Predators all night with big play after big play showing to be a big focal point for the offense this season after signing with the Lions from the Maine Mammoths.
The defense stepped up in a big way with both Shattle Fenteng and DeMario Donnell recording an interception. The Lions defense, which averaged 47.4 points per game last season, saw improvements in all areas of their game.
It would be back and forth for a while, but the 2nd half is where the game picked up dramatically. The Lions were up 34-29 late in the 4th quarter before Orlando answered back with a touchdown in the corner of the endzone to put the Predators back in the lead 36-34.
With their backs against the wall, the Lions took a shot down the field. While the pass fell incomplete, a pass interference call pushed the offense up the field. On the next play, Collis connected to Bagaunte for a touchdown, but it was called back by an offensive holding penalty.
On a crucial 4th down with 1 minute to go, Collis’ pass fell incomplete at the 2-yard line. The Lions defense, which was solid all night, had a costly mistake when a holding call gave Orlando a fresh set of downs instead of forcing 4th down near their own endzone. On the next play, Orlando would connect for a touchdown with 36 seconds left.
With their final chance at tying the game up, Collis found Paris Mack deep to set the Lions up at the Orlando 4-yard line. On 3rd down with 18 seconds left, Collis found Bagaunte for a 9-yard touchdown. With the game on the line, Collis attempted a quarterback sneak for the 2-pt conversion but fumbled, ending a wild final 5 minutes.
Columbus (0-1) will return home to open the season in the Columbus Civic Center at 7PM EST when they meet heated rival the Jacksonville Sharks (0-1). The Sharks dropped their first game on the road 52-41 vs the New York Streets. A familiar face will return as Jarmon Fortson, who led Columbus with 1,029 yards (3rd in NAL) and 31 touchdowns (1st in NAL) last season will suit up for Jacksonville.

This is a GPP phase that I recently had my men's and women's varsity hockey teams complete as their first mesocycle of the off-season.

This what I have them doing as part of their warm-up in the program above. Join StrengthCoach.com to watch the video.....

The In-Season Guy

Sean Skahan
I remember one of the first days when I started working with a professional hockey team very clearly. One of our players said hello to me and then handed me a 3 ring binder with 200+ pages included.
“This is my in-season program. Could you carry it with you and give it to me when I need it? My trainer wants me to do it this year.”
I paused and said “I don't know you and you don't know me, but the answer is NO. We will have a strength and conditioning program in place here and that is what we are going to do” (Internally, I was thinking of other options he could do with that 3 ring binder).
My first impression of this interaction was man, what did I get myself into.
In the professional sport environment, players are used to people saying yes to everything that they ask for. It doesn't matter if they want sock tape or if they want to do what THEY think is best for them in the gym. They are conditioned to get their own way from support staff members.
I came from a collegiate hockey team background. In that situation, I had the opportunity to operate a strength and conditioning program the exact way I wanted it to go. The entire team trained together year-round. We had team lifting sessions at specific times on certain days. We also had team stretching/warm up sessions prior to practices and games and team cool down sessions after practices and games. Players were rarely late for workouts (if they were, there was an appointment with an airdyne bike or the step mill- the old school one with the revolving steps) and they did exactly what I asked and coached them to do.  The head hockey coach valued what I did and supported the program 100%. For me, this is how I believed team strength and conditioning should be.
When I began my first job in professional hockey, I took that same belief system with me.
I wanted to bring those same concepts and apply them to the professional environment. I believe that good players embrace a structured environment where they want someone guiding them in the right direction to help them and ultimately the team play better.   The reality is, this approach doesn't always work in the professional environment without some give and take. In my opinion, today's professional athletes want to have some say in what is going on- especially when it comes to their own bodies. The key is to allow them to have some say as long what they want fits the philosophy of your program.
When I first arrived to the training facility, there were machines all over the place. We had......Join StrengthCoach.com to keep reading.....

LIFE HACK: MAKE YOUR CLOTHES LAST LONGER

Think of all the time and money you have wasted on getting clothes dry-cleaned, or replacing worn out and over-washed clothes. We have compiled your ultimate guide to keeping clothes looking fresher longer!
Your Favourite Jeans
Many of us have that magical pair of jeans that fits us just right and goes with any outfit. If you’re too in love with your jeans to replace them, always wash them in cold water. Hand washing denim in a sink is best, but if you must machine wash, remember to keep it on a cool cycle.
Your Bathing Suit
Washing out your yellow polka dot bikini right after use gets out the bulk of sand, sunblock and chlorine debris. Wash your suit in cold water in the sink with a small amount of liquid detergent and avoid ringing it out afterwards as this can stretch the elastic fibres. Also, do not dry it in the sun as the rays can fade the colours of your suit.
Bras
Your delicates are just that – delicate. This means they are not meant to be tossed in the washing machine. Hand wash bras with a few capfuls of mild detergent. Dry them by pressing them with a towel. Hanging them by the straps to dry can cause stretching of the fabric fibres as the cups are heavy when waterlogged.
Cashmere
Hand washing is best for cashmere. Filling your tub with cold water and use baby shampoo to delicately wash this material. Press a towel on the material to dab out excess water and place your garments flat on the towel to dry them.

Chris Beat Cancer Featuring: Everyone has cancer 5 Orthodontists give Advice Which Can Control Bacteria 'A Catalyst' Of Cancer Cell Growth

My book CHRIS BEAT CANCER is a National Bestseller ranked by USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and Publishers Weekly! Get it on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/2QsVrAx *Also available in audio book, read by yours truly. :)

5 Orthodontist give Advice Which Can Control Bacteria 'A Catalyst' Of Cancer Cell Growth
By: Daniel Rlewis

The bacteria ‘fusobacterium nucleatum’ - which has strong links with gum disease - could hamper the resistance of the body to fight with cancer cell growth. These bacteria are the catalyst that cause cancer and when pooled with human tissue cells, the bacteria enclosed itself as the parts of the immune system that are responsible for confronting cancer cells.

This is additional evidence for establishing and maintaining better oral hygiene. Oral cancer is on the growth, and anything that individuals can do themselves to diminish their risk of causing- coupled with drinking alcohol to excess, a reduction in smoking, and immunization against HPV - are all great general well being measures. Prevention is infinitely better to anything required to treat an established disease, especially with oral cancer.

The Information revealed by dental research
As per the information revealed by research - the bacteria which work as a catalyst in causing cancer cell growth is always found in the mouth, it is very important for everyone to improve their oral health care and take the help of an orthodontist. The number of related links between low levels of oral care and assassin diseases is becoming the moment of causing oral cancer and should not be released as unimportant. Brushing your teeth for four minutes in the day doesn't sound like an existence sparing practice, however, more research recommends it could go far to decreasing the danger of some of these diseases.

Research that supports the theory
There are many more research that supports this theory of causing and prevention of oral cancer, it places even more importance on conserving the issues which lead you better oral health as an end result. The best thing is there is a good news, which shows preventing and treating gum disease is very simple, nowadays.

Proper brushing plays a vital role
Gum disease is an extremely basic ailment. Actually, it’s one of the biggest non-transferable infections around the world. You have to verify you expel all the plaque from your teeth consistently. This is finished by brushing for two minutes twice a day, the last thing during the evening and no less than one other time amid the day with fluoride toothpaste and utilizing interdental brushes or floss to clean in the middle of the teeth where gum infection begins.

Schedule per-month dental checkup
Regular visits to the dental specialist for a thorough dental checkup will help your orthodontist to recognize any issues that are creating. In the event that your gums do begin to drain, this is the most common sign that you may have not been cleaning your teeth properly and you need to build a more improver way of tooth brushing. If things don't settle within a couple of days, it’s beneficial for you to quickly consult with the orthodontist before issues start to mount up.

Final words-
The essential messages of good oral care are basic, yet such a large number of individual, particularly those in more denied regions of the UK, don't even get these. It is a test necessary for general public.

Hello all!!!! I am Daniel Rlewis and I stay at Bavaria, Germany from the last few years. I have been in this business from past several years and I really like it a lot. I have opened this orthodontics services to help people and I really don't consider it as a business. For the ease of people, I also have provided online services for consultancy and one can take appointment from online also.
